I have no ill will toward him, but it's correct to say that he was terrible here.

 

Also no animosity necessary to point out that the decision to draft him - and trade up to do so - was an awful one.  It's just the truth.

 

You can speculate that maybe if he hadn't been drafted the same year that John Fox and staff decided to mail it in, things could have been different.  Guess we'll never know.

Hurney kept Armanti to save face-hoping he would catch on-sad- he was on a 3-year plan or something like that.  Who drafts a player to develop for 3 years? (aside from Marty Hurney).  The way he traded up for Edwards made the Panthers the joke of the draft.  Hurney is the only GM I have ever seen who seemed to get worse at his job every year.  It was as if he was slipping into the culture of crystal meth, where people forget that they are idiots.

he played scared when he came into the nfl. at the very least he could have been reckless like he was at App when he had the ball in his hands.
