Manziel is prototypical of the type of quarterback who looks great in college but average to mediocre in the NFL.

this is exactly what Wilson does in the NFL

But he has a terrific defense and a great running game to back him up.  Unless Manziel has that he will be nothing special just like Wilson would be if he played for Tampa instead.

Manziel can be good, but he is going high and going to a crappy team. Thats the problem, and really the problem with all QBs in this class that they are not NFL ready. If I was picking high in this years draft I would pass on QB and draft someone with more impact the first year. Because its very possible that all of them turn out to be a Geno Smith clone.

But NFL people had Cam as the number one pick (despite what the non knowing media was saying/didn't tell you all along), and he was! And remember, there were some very good players/prospects in Cam's draft.

Not sure Manziel is the number one pick in 2014 draft, along with not having the physical ability and success that Cam did, going undefeated winning the National championship while putting up crazy QB numbers in the process.

That Auburn team was an average college team by most accounts, which not many expected any thing from. Cam was the difference; everyone knew it. And he had the physical skills, work ethic, leadership, and football brains worthy of a #1 pick.

Can't say all the same for Manziel in comparison (though I can see why it's made).

Ugh not trying to saying manziel had more success then cam I'm arguing that manziel had success in his own right breaking the records and being the first ever to win the heisman as a freshman with the best statistical year ever. But of course you would miss that

That is space exploration, we are talking about sports. All I'm saying is, if it comes down to it, and you asked a player would he rather break records, or win the championship of his sport, what do you think his answer would be?
