As the the temperatures increased today at the Carolina Panthers and Miami Dolphins joint practice today, so did the players' tempers. During one on one drills, Panthers left tackle Michael Oher took Dolphins DE Olivier Vernon out wide and eventually to the ground at the feet of the spectating players. After the play, Vernon stood above Oher a move that is probably less than courteous. Oher initiated helmet to helmet contact while getting back on his feet. This escalated into punches being thrown. Panthers right tackle Mike Remmers then runs in and grabs Vernon in defense of his fellow Panthers tackle.
