I have a lot of respect for a lot of people who are bad at their jobs. Good people, but doesn't mean they're in the right profession or have the right gig.

Per Ellis/Glazer Rhule not exactly “safe”
CarolinaNCSU replied to Cdparr7's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's probably been said, but he's already hired one "rockstar" OC in Brady who was his scapegoat. This entire organization is a dumpster fire. -
We have a chance maybe to trade Darnold!
CarolinaNCSU replied to BurnNChinn's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm just waiting on the Darnold extension at this point to be the icing on the cake. Fitts & Rhule thinking they're playing 4D chess by lowering Darnold's 18 million cap hit next year by extending him and guaranteeing him more money to be our backup for the foreseeable future. -
We basically hired college Jack Easterby to be our HC/GM for a couple years. Good call, Tepper & Hurndog

If former players were sticking up for Rhule too, I'd say we may be wrong. But seeing former Panthers who are inside the building, or have access to guys inside the building, be about as vocal as possible about the coaching on Twitter? Seems like a red flag to me and they're probably voicing the "real" talk from current players who feel like they can't. Smitty, JStew, Tre Boston, feel like even Charles Johnson at one point on Twitter have all said things. I've posted here that I've heard Luke hates Rhule. Feel like our current players might like Rhule the person, but doesn't mean they like Rhule's coaching and can't really question it in the media.

Panthers taking offers for Cmac in the off-season
CarolinaNCSU replied to Leotiger's topic in Carolina Panthers
Try to get like a 3rd from Buffalo or something and take the massive cap hit seems to be the only plan. Wonderful contract! -
Sunday night/Monday morning are going to be some REAL anxious moments around here. Hopefully we get some good news, but kinda doubt it.

I pretty much agree and it would be the smart thing to do. I just don't think Fitts and his trade happy ass will. He's going to wear some of the stink of the Darnold deal and feel the need to get picks and say "look I put a band-aid on it". I'd rather have a quarter than two dimes and a nickel. Just don't think Fitts rolls like that.

Between this, Cam Erving/Dennis Daley comments earlier this year, and even some of what Robby has said...I think THIS is the culture Matt Rhule "builds". Cam mentioned guys not wanting to win like the old teams, they don't know what Keep Pounding means, etc. I mean, when Rhule disciple Robby Andersen basically said winning doesn't matter as long as you grow as a player/team blah blah or whatever BS he said...yikes. Honestly, I think Rhule is right about us not being able to see the "process". It IS working. He's turning the team from guys who should want to win, to now it's about growth and the process and it's okay if you have a bad season because you're building towards something down the line. Cool. That's how you build college programs. NFL is not for long for a reason and some of our bums are playing their way out of it. Loser ass mentality.

Deonte Brown couldn't help this team at all

Luvu has to be re-signed. Love him this year.

There's Samuel

We're going to win this stupid game, aren't we?

Hoping Rhule fights with a couple players on the sideline today. It's really all that's left to care about at this point so let's see it.
-
Only way Rhule can survive a 3rd year is by trading our picks and star players for Deshaun Watson, and replacing half the team with Baylor/Temple guys, doubling down on the reports already. Which sadly, I can see being his plan to build our "program". Cult like following from "vets" as new draft picks arrive, everyone drinking the Kool-Aid, yikes.

Matt Rhule responds to scathing report of volatile culture
CarolinaNCSU replied to ladypanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Kudos to some in the local media finally asking some hard questions. Can't believe it, but shoutout to Joe Person for hopefully finally opening the flood gates, and I hope more questions and more stories follow. Also, lol at Rhule for ever thinking he could've possibly survived coaching the Giants. Him and GMan in battles over personnel decisions, both wrong, and then facing the NY media? It would've been fun to watch. -
Tepper embarrassed by Rhule. Rhule lost locker room.
CarolinaNCSU replied to Ja Rhule's topic in Carolina Panthers
Tepper needs to talk to the media ASAP, not some sit down puff piece with Voth either trying to sell this garbage. And the media needs to do their job and actually ask real questions. I actually fuging miss Richardson at this point. -

CarolinaNCSU replied to Ja Rhule's topic in Carolina Panthers
Fans hate you, owner "embarrassed" by you, you've lost the players... Get excited for your 2022 Carolina Panthers, everyone. Rhule must be one hell of a snake oil salesmen around Tepper or Mr. Brass Balls might actually be mistaking patience with pure ignorance. -
God I wish it would've been a picture of Beyonce

WFNZ interview with Ellis Williams from Observer
CarolinaNCSU replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
I just don't get the thinking of keep Rhule around, but take away his control/power of everything. Can't put that toothpaste back in the tube and it work IMO. Only two ways that ends. One, with an angry Rhule watching Twitter every night to see what college jobs are opening in October as he's mentally checked out. Two, Rhule having no control, being overridden on decisions about coaches even, and then it's a matter of..."so, what do you do here?" Cut your losses and fire the bum before wasting another year. -
For a team that needed help in the trenches, taking 1 guy on the lines in the first 5 picks, then not playing him/changing his position/forced to play him, speaks volumes to the talent evaluation we're dealing with here. Fitts isn't innocent either, rolling with Erving/Elflein/Paradis/and the scrap heap of backups we have. Horn was good before the injury, but can't help but think we'd have been better off with Slater and there's still a small chance we didn't see any "bad" Horn. He's a rookie again next year. Marshall was a luxury pick who can't see the field under Rhule. Would've been better off drafting a C or OG there. Can't throw the ball anyway, what's the point having your 2nd round pick be at best your 5th option? I still think every name on the list has promise and has shown flashes, but I can't help but think we're getting 2 starters max out of a draft most loved at the time.
