It's going to be a rock fight. Unless something weird happens, I can't imagine either offense having much success. Cliche, but whoever wins the turnover battle probably wins.

Great depth, good starter in a pinch due to injury. Guys like him are needed on every team...for the right price. If Carter is your 10th or 11th best defender on the field, your defense is probably pretty good. If he's asked to be more than that, no bueno.

3-1 over the next 4 weeks is a must if we want to even talk about the playoffs. But, like said above, the 3-0 start spoiled us. If we can get to 8 wins with the state of this OL, Darnold, injuries, etc., that's right on schedule to what most here thought and a moral victory compared to what we felt the last couple weeks. The next fun step is finding a way out of mediocrity without a clear answer to the OL/QB issues.

Love Djax and wish he would get paid here...but I just don't think it's the plan. Potentially re-sign Gilmore to finish his career close to home, have Horn, have Taylor, have Henderson, have Bouye. Can't see us handing out a big contract for a very crowded room talent wise (woah...never thought I'd say that about our CBs)

No. This team has 3 options right now. 1. Draft a QB and hand them the keys 2. Trade for or sign a franchise QB (Rodgers, Wilson, etc.) 3. Trot out PJ Walker or whatever bum we find, and repeat until 1 or 2 is achieved.

I would with one caveat...IF Cam were ready to retire after this year. No need to bring him back if he has any intentions of playing for somebody else again. In what could end up being a lost season without a turnaround, might as well have fun and put fans in the seat with a heavy dose of nostalgia and good times.

The only 3 untouchable guys who would be trade chips we have right now are Burns, Chinn, and DJ to me. Horn is hurt or he would be included. Outside of that, have at it. If DJax won't get paid here, let Houston do it. Don't want to lose Derrick Brown, but he's not Burns/Chinn. CMC can't be replaced talent wise, but Chuba and the cap savings do more than enough to fill the hole for a guy we've barely had for 2 years now and on the downtrend. Tired of the Watson saga, but fine with an offer of 2 1sts and a mix of CMC/DJax/Robby/Brown. Toss in some mid round picks if needed to help get us out of contracts like CMC & Robby if need be.

Watson put up some pretty amazing stats behind garbage OLs in Houston, which I'm sure we're telling ourselves. Because we won't be able to draft or sign any OL help carrying 60 million in QB cap hits.

Probably already been said, but the issue with Darnold was picking up his 5th year option. After not even playing a down here and showing mostly garbage in NY. 18 million guaranteed next year for our backup QB. That's some Taysom Hill poo.

Yup, at a certain point you've gotta see if the answers are truly on the roster. What we've tossed out so far at guard...what's the worst that could happen? Our journeymen vets suck, see what the young massive dude coming from a dominant college program can do and stop overthinking it.

If we have a losing record at the deadline, or don't plan on bringing him back...sadly it's true. Have a feeling we could nullify any comp pick we'd get if we spend big this FA period. Trading him might end up being the shrewd play.

I really like Barry, but it being that high on the list is kind of insane to me. 0% chance it should be above Curb, Game of Thrones, Veep, and many others below it.

The next two weeks will be telling. Both games at home, both against teams we *should* beat, and both games we have to have if we have hopes of sneaking into a Wildcard spot.
