If we tear it all down again how long would it take...
rayzor replied to PanthersGOATFan336's topic in Carolina Panthers
I know I keep going back to this three years or get someone else, but I'd invite anyone to back through the Superbowl era and find all of the coaches who were able to get a ring 3 or at the most 4 years after being hired by that team. It just doesn't happen. If the goal is to get a ring and you can't do it in 3-4 years with a coach, you won't do it with them at all. Taking several years to build a team seems like a nice idea, but a team that takes more than 3 years for a coach to build isn't going to win you a championship. That's not being narrow minded. That's just straight facts. -

They won't win a championship. If a coach doesn't win a championship in the first 3 years (sometimes 4 depending on QB situation), it's not going to happen. If we're looking at it taking several drafts we're doing it wrong. A coach that takes 3years to build the team before you're winning should be fired. -

Point is... if the new coach can't field a winning team in 2 years, we got the wrong one. A good coach, the right coach, can do it. -

Then it will take 2 coaches. Theres enough pieces to get the ball rolling. Fixing the OL via FA and draft is the biggest thing. You hire the right guy and he will be able to get the few right pieces we need to get this team winning in 2 and Superbowl in 3. The right coach can make it work. The right coach makes the most of the talent they have and they get it done quickly. -

No. For any franchise. If we don't hit it in 3 years with the next coach then we have to move on to another one. They only have 2 years to start winning or 3 to get to the Superbowl or it's not happening. -

Based on if a head coach is going to take a team to the Superbowl they do it within 3 years of being with that team. 4 if they don't get their QB until year 2. If they don't make it in that time frame, they won't. If it takes longer than 2 years to start winning, it's taken too long. -
Was thinking this earlier. Karl Hankton 2.0

But why focus on that one play? Why make such a big deal out of one play out of an entire poo show of a game? Few are saying it wasn't a bad decision. The poo is flying because you're making a big deal of this one, but moreso because that jackass hack coach brought it out as if it was a big issue in the loss. He's deflecting on a guy he was forced to add to his team. Not sure what you're deal is

If a coach doesn't get us to the playoffs in 2 years, he likely won't. If he won't get us to the Superbowl in 3, it likely won't happen and definitely won't happen if it doesn't happen in 4. No coach should be given a contract more than 4 years. 2 years is more than enough time to judge whether he's building something good. Point is, it shouldn't take 3 years to build a good team. -

This play was not a big deal in the scheme of things. We didn't lose because of this play. We didn't lose because of Cam. Not sure why you are so dead set on defending Rhule and finding some way to blame Cam.
-
But 99.9% of the blame lies on him. It's his team. His mess. His failure. Trying to point out one play and throw blame on Cam is like trying to blame the titanic on a missing lifeboat.
-
His team. His coaches. His offense. It all has his name on it. When a player isn't meeting expectations that's ultimately on the coach as well. A good coach owns it all. A bad coach blames it on a player.
-
This all day.
-
That one play didn't cost us the game. Cam didn't cost us the game. It's a red herring meant by to distract us from his ineptitude. He's a PoS for trying to throw this loss on cam which this very much is an attempt to do. He needs to be gone.

Sorry, but if a coach hasn't made it to the Superbowl in 3 years, he's not going to. This is not a team that will be in the Superbowl in a year. You don't have 3 years to build a team. You have 2 and he failed.

How many Tampa/Brady fans will fill our stadium next week?
rayzor replied to Randolph Panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Sad, but I hope that's all there are. Maybe then Tepper will get it. -
I hope so. I just don't expect it. Tepper is about as good at running a pro team as Rhule is at coaching. I have zero confidence in him to make the right call and even if he does fire him I don't expect him to make a good hire. I watched the first half of the game today and I really only did it because of habit. I won't watch a minute more until he's hired someone else and even then, it will just be out of curiosity...not excitement.
-
It's a piss poor leader who throws his players under the bus publicly rather than falling in the sword himself. Rhule is a frikkin turd of a human and a horrible leader and Tepper is a sucker for buying his crap.

I know you don't care. I don't really have much of anything that you'll miss... but I used to care about this team you bought. Used to. Maybe when you flush this turd Rhule away and find someone who knows what they're doing I'll get interested again. For now, though, life's too short to spend on this poo product you're trying to sell us. So...um...

Rhule is a douchebag. He's a petty bitter little man with a big gut who hates Cam and wants desperately to have his boy PJ in there at QB. Fire this idiot
