The Athletic's Dane Brugler's 7-round mock draft
rayzor replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
It would be frustrating watching anything beyond that first round pick. Just like watching Panthers play beyond the first quarter. -

people who are trapped into owning PSLs are going to have even more trouble selling them because what's the point? the owner is going to be tearing the whole thing down and starting over (just like he's done everything else here) so the investment you have is wasted in memories of the past. and who in their right mind is going to fall for this poo again, especially with a coach like rhule and the state this team is in? tepper's going to have to find another scheme than PSLs to pay for that stadium.

Todd McShay - Rhlue "won't be crying when the two sides part ways"
rayzor replied to trueblade's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah, where you gave no reason why beyond money. You've got nothing. if you've got some legit reason why players would want to come here based on what this team has to offer now.....please share. -

Because no other team has money. But still ... Is money the only thing we have to offer? Pretty pathetic if that's the case. Come up with something better, superfan. C'mon. As much as you hurrah the team and ridicule everyone who doesn't, surely you could come up with a solid list. -

why would anyone not desperate for a roster spot on any team and without options elsewhere want to come here? what's the draw? please, someone educate me. seriously, what makes this team special compared to any other team? if you had a son that could play in the NFL and you weren't a panthers fan, why would you want your kid to come here compared to any other place? all you fans upset over him saying this, please fill me in. i'll wait for an answer. -

i would like for him to elaborate more on this comment about us being the last team his son would play for. curious what he's been hearing. -
We'll see. I hope he is and I hope I'm wrong about everything. I just have to be proved I am wrong. I'd like for BC to be that guy, but I see it more as a panic choice that we had instant buyers remorse for.
-
We fug up, can't find a trade partner, panic afraid of making the wrong choice and go defense with #6 then trade away next year's first round for a late second this year and pick whatever QB is left after the top 6 get taken and wind up not drafting OL until the 4th round.
-
Still have Rhule at the helm. Still don't have a QB or an LT. Still don't have much draft capital. Still could end up trading picks away next year to get more picks for this year. Until I see a concrete reason for optimism, it will be absent from me. Unt we start winning, it will be seem as something still out of reach. Until Rhule either gets fired or shows he's not in over his head and pulls a playoff run out of his ass, I'm not a believer. And it will take a deep playoff run to get me back in...and even then, I would only be there temporarily, because I need to see it not just pulled out once, but I need back to back winning seasons. I'm done with the low bar.
-
we're too used to settling for better than what we had (hoping that it actually is, but finding out eventually it really isn't). we let the bar of expectation get too low and because of that we're going to keep losing.

What is the impetus for the “Keep Pounding” pushaway?
rayzor replied to davos's topic in Carolina Panthers
his ideal was an expansion team. he couldn't have one so he's trying to turn Carolina into one. demo the whole thing, level it, and start over from scratch. which begs the question..... why be a panthers fan if the owner wants to scrap the whole thing, tear it down, and put something else up in his image? it's not the panthers anymore. it's tepper's imaginary brass ball team. i'm a panthers fan. this isn't the panthers anymore. this isn't a team i recognize. -
If you rely on generic and trite sayings like this that have no personal connection to your organization, you're doing it wrong. Like most things they've done here since Tepper and especially since Rhule..... they're doing it wrong.

Among coaches of kids. Pretty clear he used this before... coaching kids.

Yep. He still thinks college works like the pros.

Alexander predicts we get Garoppolo or Mayfield
rayzor replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
No trades. Not this year. Not for anyone. -
Bar is set low. Point is, it was better.....and that's just damn sad.
-
I don't know. It sounds like a very college coach slogan thing to try when you're desperate for motivation.

Just my opinion and not necessarily in order... Bills Chiefs Rams Chargers Raiders Thought about Bengals in there because of what they did to shore up that OL, but I am just more impressed by what I see these other teams doing. I see them creating consistent winners who will find themselves at the top for a pretty good while. Not really impressed by many NFC teams. Aside from the Rams and maybe the Packers.... I don't know. Really no one stands out all that much. What are y'all thinking?
