  1. Same here. I watched that out of curiosity because I was a Luck guy and had been for a good while. I was underwhelmed the first half, but the second half and hearing how he took charge during halftime and got the team fired up, I was hooked. I will say that what I have seen from AR and what he's capable of that I get a lot of the same vibe I had from watching Cam. He's got legit superhero potential. You find a way to harness and guide it and you've got yourself one of the most exciting studs the league has seen in a while.
  2. Keep Tremble. Replace the rest. Draft one day 2 and pick up one in FA.
  3. Adam schefter supposedly said it, which is what the hubub was about, but there was no actual quote cited. It was all someone saying he thought he said Schefter say something, but no citing was di e. Basically it's BS.
  4. I could see that with Rhule. Crap .... I could see that even with Rivera or Fox, especially Fox (because he really didn't like young QBd that you had to groom and develop). With the staff being put together the way it is, I really can't see us going with a QB that feels he's got no room or reason to develop and improve. We're going for a young QB that can be developed.
  5. I don't think so and I hope not. Would be a very bad idea and a poor fit for what Reich is building. I hope y'all can unload him, though, and get Jordan Love starting. Very interested in what he could do.
  6. He's becoming my favorite. Was the most fun to watch already and his interviews have been really impressive so far. I can tell why everyone has been impressed.
  7. no way an LB could be smaller than 6' and be effective. *cough*51*cough*
  8. ok....so take this into consideration when you look at the supposed market value of other FAs.
  9. so the guys we didn't want, they picked up?
  10. if i was hurt as frequently as he is, i'd want one too.
  11. one thing that always gets me is looking at games as a face off between two QBs. it's never that. it's QB vs. a defense. that's it. QBs can't win games if their defense can't stop the other team from scoring. you've got to make sure you have 2 things... 1) a QB that can generate a lot of scores and 2) a defense that can keep the other QB from scoring more than what your QB can generate. the more your QB is capable of scoring, the better off you are. the more your defense is able to shut down the other QB, the better off you are. if you have both of these, you're going to win a championship.
  12. i think this is a fair assessment. scenario 1) trade up for the #1 scenario 2) pick up Carr and trade up to 3 or 5 for QB scenario 3) pick up Carr stay at 9 and either draft the best QB available at 9 or BPA (if one of Young/Stroud/AR/Levis isn't available) and then QB (Hooker or Duggan) in later round.
  13. there's a lot ways that Carr fits what Reich is building here. If there's one thing that we've seen, if Reich likes someone and they fit what he's trying to do, he's got the green light to get him. i really don't think that Tepper or anyone in the FO is going to be upset if we overcompensate in our efforts to get QB figured out.
  14. I'm starting to think that they might both be possibilities just based on how serious this team is about fixing the offense, especially QB. They have overloaded on staff, i think, and they might take the same mindset with QB. I would say at this point and from what we've seen, be ready for some extreme work be done to get QB right not just for the immediate but the long haul. One thing that also sticks in my mind is something that Fitt said about being a top 10 pick...i think they are acting like they won't be in this position again, so they want to get everything they can out of it. the era of losing is over. If they can get the short term and long term answers to QB addressed in one offseason, i expect they will. i feel like they are going to attack this long term problem from a couple different angles with the hope of doing what they've done with staff building, bring in a wealth of experience and knowledge to team up with someone who is young, but has a bright future ahead of them.
  15. Seems like peewee Herman lacks a spine.
  16. Won't work well enough. The game has changed. It favors the offense. You try to build a defense like that and roll with a mediocre QB and you're going to get rolled more often than not. That Ravens team and season was an anomaly. We rarely see a defense dominate with mediocre QB play because it just doesn't work except in rare circumstances. Defense doesn't win championships anymore.
  17. I have guys I want and guys I don't, but I trust these coaches more than my gut or any other opinion. I'm trying to prepare myself for them picking a guy and going Just trying to be ready for anything.
  18. we should have and could have dominated the NFCS with Cam... i agree that we could and should run the NFCS for the next decade with any of the 4 top QBs of the draft. whoever they pick, it's going to be glorious.
