  1. i keep seeing this concern, and i have it myself, but i wonder if it's really warranted? I mean are smaller framed players, esp. QBs, more prone to injury? Do the stats bear that out? I'm going to start another thread about this. seems like a worthwhile discussion.
  2. I would like to see if there is a study showing a correlation between player/QB size and injury frequency/durability. Surely it's been done.
  3. Good QBs will always recognize areas that are a natural weakness and they will adapt to work around them and overcome them. Good coaching staffs help this happen. It can be a big deal, but it can also be worked around, which it seems Young has been able to do. Yet to be seen if he can do it in the pros, but this is one thing that i think he will be able to carry over to the pros. He'll find his sight lanes. He'll have to scramble to do it, but he can do it.
  4. I trust these coaches and staff in a way I haven't in a long time, if ever. That would just be a harder thing to trust them on. I think they'd still be able to make it work out well, it's just a lot harder to visualize and it would take a lot longer to make it happen than it would with Young or Stroud. I'm only getting older and my ticker is moving quicker. I'd really like to see us hoist a Lombardi before I start thinking that Tuesday's taste like oatmeal.
  5. I'll be among the imploders, especially if it's Levis I'll try to make the best of it, but my gut would be in knots. AR would be a tough sell, but I could be bought on the idea that they could turn him into something beyond special. Still, I'd rather not have to work to be excited. Just give me Stroud or Young and I'll be good
  6. I've been of the opinion that you can't go wrong with either Young or Stroud so really.... I'm at peace with however it shakes out as long as it's one of those two
  7. Btw.....BLACK Panthers uniforms should be predominantly BLACK
  8. I don't care what it is....do it. And if it pisses a lot of people off....
  9. Not used to good things happening. More used to major f*ckups and bad decisions.
  10. I hope he's there still for them to take.... because that means we didn't.
  11. I'm thinking that this year we'll win 10+ games, win the division, get to the divisional round of the playoffs, and that 1st round pick will be in the mid 20s.
  12. someone say saxophone music?
  13. i know. i've got to keep open to the possibility that he isn't as bad as i think he is or will be as bad as i think he will be and that maybe...just maybe....the panthers will think he's the guy to build on. i try, but it's hard for me to have an open mind about him i made up my mind a long time ago about him.
  14. would be too much blonde in the room
  15. oh he's so quirky and different!
  16. looks like they are holding it in a middle school gym with artificial grass from Home Depot laid down and lines painted on.
  17. yes...i hope we don't draft him at #1. i still remember vividly that moment where i had spent the whole draft laughing at jimmy dropping and wondering what team would be fool enough to draft him and then i hear it and all that could be heard from me for several houses around was a big "NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!". i have this sick part in my gut that tells me this might happen again only to a much worse degree in drafting Levis at #1. i say it's not going to happen, but i've got this nagging part of me that knows it's wishful and hopeful thinking. it probably won't happen, but anything is possible.
