Gotcha. The thing is that for every example of a flaw, there's a lot more examples of the same situation where he does incredible in the moment.
-
Yeah I'm not seeing this poo at all and neither are the majority of minds out there. Pretty lame comps.
-
The thing is, at this point people already have their mind made up about one or the other. Your OP isn't coming from someone looking to learn. It's coming from a "show me why my preconceived perception about Young is wrong." But you've already made up your mind and can't see how you could be wrong that Stroud is a better QB option than Young.
-
Oh I know he's got flaws, but he's got a whole lot more going for him and his ceiling gets me excited. I trust this coaching staff if they think he's the best QB we could get. They'll get the most out of him and I believe just because of the situation he's walking into he'll do better than the other options available.
-
He's going to be the QB. Might as well start trying to find peace with this.

From a couple places that in the past had some reliable knowledge, usually just with draft stuff. The crazy thing is it all but dried up with Rhule there and the only stuff I heard was blips about discontentment. Seems like doors are opened up again. Regardless, I won't give specific information I've heard (and there hasn't been much, tbh) but I feel comfortable backing up other things that have been said by a couple others. That @The Crown and the Claw has been on point with the stuff I've heard and he's said some things that I hadn't heard yet.

i think they went into the pro day tour with the intention of having an open mind about all four, but there was already a contingent of people within the organization (not owners) who were sold on Young already. CJ was thought of highly and they liked him, but Young was the one (as i've found out over the past couple weeks, contrary to my impression was that they liked CJ the most) that they had in front pretty much the whole time. i think any discussion they had was, especially after the trade, "we think Young is the guy, but try and convince us otherwise" and they just couldn't do it. all signs kept pointing back to Young as the best QB prospect. They were comfortable, from what i've heard, with one other choice when they were sitting at 9, but when they got to #1 there was really only 1 guy they felt good at all about.
-
Or they all liked him or grew to like him. Blame it in whatever you want, but really when all the smoke clears it's going to be clear that when they moved to #1, there was only one QB they were completely interested in. Before that there were two, but only one they thought they had a chance at. This was Young's gig the moment they moved to 1. They may have looked at and dug into abd were impressed by others, but Young has stayed at the forefront for the organization.

Unless your ground zero argument is that Tepper was the only voice for Young and everyone else was team CJ (which isn't at all accurate) then I can't get how you'd look at what Miller said and jump to "this was a Tepper pick". Young is the consensus pick and it was really only ever between two guys from what I've been hearing for weeks.

I could have done without hearing that voice. Thought it would be ok. Need to take another pill now

But that runt is going to be hoisting the Lombardi for us when he wins both the NFL and Superbowl MVP. He might have to have help lifting it, but he'll lift it, dammit.

Roll Call…. T minus 5 days, who’s representing in person?

Got to say it's kind of tempting. -

Thanks a lot for the offer and I know you would, but I'm OK watching it around here (not Charlotte) Thursday night. Wife and kids know the drill. -

Dont get me wrong. I've got enough to be happy. Don't need more than I've got. I've had more. Did better mentally without because of what it cost me in other areas. But thanks all the same. I'm blessed with all i need and really want. -

Not enough money to go. it could be fun, but I don't have much of a desire to go back to KC. Short visit just for that would make it better. -
Yeah, it's pretty hard to spin this favoritively for Stroud, especially. If you put stock in these scores prior to this report.
-
Fortunately for us, I think he is that high on our boards. They really like him.
-
Yeah there's no doubt that teams by this point have all the data they need, including S2 scores. While the score itself leaking out won't effect where Stroud is drafted, I think the decreased lack of positive comments and reports of him slipping is the real news and S2 scores known by teams as well as a couple things we may have heard whispered and a few things we haven't heard leaked yet but are known by teams may contribute to his supposed drop in stock. And I say supposed because it's quite likely that some teams may have never really been sold on him but whatever perceived stock that was there was all about media perception.

I think in the previous weeks it's more likely to have false stuff "leaked" intentionally, but there's some stuff that goes on inside franchise office walls, parts of legit conversations and bits of real information, that somehow slips out and if you're paying attention and know your sources you know what's real and not. I know I've been hearing stuff myself trickle out all along this year that has been really consistent, but it seems about this time of the year, right before the draft, that it starts to flow more. During the Rhule Era, it seems like it all shut down completely except signs of discontent from within. As soon as he's go e, though, it seems like things start to open up again. So basically, lots of stuff gets leaked leading up to the draft, and while there's a lot of fake poo that gets leaked, here's also legit stuff that gets leaked and needs spinning. If it needs a spin, it's probably legit.

There is an RB that they like a lot who isn't on that list, but he'll likely be gone so it won't really matter. I keep hearing Mingo brought up a lot too. I mean a lot.

Could a trade be on the horizon...(Vegas shift at number 2)

I still believe that Levi's is the 4th best QB in this class, but I've all along believed that Levis is a natural fit in Indy...and that's not necessarily a compliment. I don't know who will be drafted ahead of him or who should be drafted ahead of him, but I think he will be a colt. -
That's the problem, was it inaccurate then or now? I've got to believe that the closer we get to the day, the more accurate the leaks are going to be.
