We are in the “everyone is lying” zone of pre-draft
rayzor replied to Doc Holiday's topic in Carolina Panthers
agreed with Levis. that's just straight BS, though i really do also believe that he will be a colt. i've thought that all along. the stuff with Stroud, i think that's a mixed bag. i've heard little whispers here and there about different concerns with him, but i was overlooking all of it because i really liked him as a prospect, and i still do. but i think the concerns over the S2 score just made everyone kind of tap the brakes on him and relook at it all. i have heard that some were just not much sold on him at all (which some haven't been really sold on any in this QB class). but when you consider the issues/reports that leadership/team mentality didn't come easily or naturally to him plus the question of whether or not he was the product of a really good system that was stacked on the OL and at WR plus the usual bag of being a OSU QB (usually don't transition well into the pros), and then comes this S2 stuff...i don't know. i could see him go at #2 or slide down to ATL or even to 12 for the texans to come back around and pick up (unless they don't like him because of his agent and he falls further). -
We are in the “everyone is lying” zone of pre-draft

the problem is that this last week before the draft, especially in the last couple days leading up to it, this is when the truths start to slip out as well. easiest thing to do is just assume that everyone is lying, but right now it's about a 50/50 chance that what you are hearing is true. -
i don't think they trade the #2. they're keeping that one unless they trade to the colts. it's that #12 that has me curious. i think that they use their 2nd pick for a QB and use the 1st pick for BPA. they can move up from 12 to say 8 so they get their QB. i don't know. i'm just getting ready for anything.

yeah i guess that would be ok too. but i just love a good rivalry. it makes it busy being a mod dealing with all the trash talking from other teams, but still i love it. i'd be happy either way.
-
yeah i loved it when we had Cam, Ryan, and Brees all fighting for it. i'd love for us all to be really competitive and respectable again.
-
it's definitely going to be one of the most entertaining first rounds i can remember in a while. no one has a clue what is going to happen past the #1 pick. it's glorious chaos.
-
the luxury that the texans have is that they've got a butt load of picks so they can get their absolute favorite player in the draft and then either use their #12 or bundle a couple and come back and get their 2nd favorite QB (since we'll have already drafted their favorite. the texans trading back up to get a QB is not something i have heard anyone talking about, but why wouldn't you if you feel solid enough about one of the non-Young ones and you don't think they will be there by #12?
-
Young was the only one that was ever going to go first and the only way you were ever going to get him was by going first. He was the #1 target from the beginning. I'm not upset that we did what it takes to get our guy.

and Levis to the Colts just makes too much sense considering Irsay. i'm not budging on that one. and i'm preparing myself for Stroud to the Falcons. Could you imagine us with Young, AR with the Bucs, and Stroud with the Falcons? That actually could be a lot of fun.
-
AR to the Bucs...i mean it makes sense, but i really don't like it. the good news is, it's the bucs. but we did really well with Cam Newton being coached by Rivera and Shula. i don't like it. i hope he's gone well before then.

Frank Reich: Panthers have made their decision
rayzor replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think it's more likely that Levis is getting trolled -
And I'm just going to do a preemptive thread lock because it's getting ready to turn to poo. Would rather we just move on.

He won't be. There's lines we don't cross in here and he just did a bellyflop across it.

Roy is a mountain.

Darnell Washington visiting the panthers

would be nice to have him as an outlet, both long and short term. probably won't be happening, though. -
he's got the maturity level of a 17 year old. definitely the least mature of the bunch.
-
if he's the pick i'm taking up yoga. probably need to anyways.
-
you're either going to have to get used to it or spend the next decade complaining or just find something else.
-
i've seen him put a nice touch on the ball from time to time. i think it's one of those things that got better as time went on.
-
He's an enigma right now. I think most likely him, but there's just this nasty seed of doubt that has popped in that is making people tap the brakes. Teams are thinking, "I think he'll do good, but do I really want to bank my job on this guy or do I want to go a safer route with another position?" If the draft were a week earlier or even a week later it could be a different deal, but the current narrative just doesn't work in his favor.

This is such a weird thing. I mean it makes sense, but the order? I don't know.....
