and it's not all coming from us. maybe they all know something that some here are reluctant to recognize. the guy has off the charts potential.
-
if we only learned how to tank we would have 10 rings.
-
this team sucks. all this team does is lose. that's all they are going to do this year. and their draft picks suck. and also we should lose more so we can get a better daft pick. it's good for the team.
-
couldn't make it 3 seconds. probably just not enough coffee yet to handle it. but would there be enough?
-
and it's not just these guys who are recognizing and even gushing about what Bryce Young did in his second game as a true freshman saying that what he did was some next level poo, and that's what you can expect from him. We have very informed, educated, and experienced people saying and recognizing this in Young....and then we have people like @CPcavedweller saying this kind of thing: so either CPcavedweller is right and these people talking about Young either don't know poo because, as cpcavedweller has intimated ...it's not a big deal because every QB who puts on a bama jersey does this kind of thing right out of the gate and it's not unusual for any QB to do this. or they are correct and Bryce Young mentally is on another very impressive level.

this is also based largely on comments McCown made before he became a coach here and before he started collaborating with other coaches and scouts to evaluate and interview all of the prospects. it could very well be that his opinion changed the further that he got into the process.
-
Well it didn't happen. Time to deal with it and quit whining/grumbling. Or don't. Stay miserable. Stay insufferable. You do you.
-
And ihope we keep having them throughout the year.

That's what I'm saying, I don't know. The ellipsis implied there were more I could put in there. Thise weren't the only ones I could consider. Peppers too. Thomas Davis for a lot of the reason Sam Mills is up there, he personified 'keep pounding '. I can't pick a GOAT. I just can't. And I won't, dammit. You can't make me. None of you can.
-
I can't even do that. Smitty.....Cam ..... Mills....I don't know.

I couldn't make a list like that. Id feel bad leaving a few out. I'm not objective enough.

It's got nothing to do with moral victories or any of that poo. It's about not being narrow minded and doing more harm than good to the team and the game and costing people jobs and possibly getting in a ton of trouble. Not to mention it's just a weak strategy...and by weak I mean its implemented by weak people/teams who deserve to lose and create a culture of losing.
-
all the arguments that have been said against this whole silly tank idea and that's what you are coming back to?
-
probably end up like one of his UFC fights.

took me a couple seconds haha

i can just imagine the meetings where teams tell their coaches and players that they have to lose games. "seriously, guys, it's for the good of the team! THINK ABOUT THE DRAFT!!!!!" i just can't get over how stupid a concept this is, especially in trying to make it happen. telling the coaches, "you know...just don't put in the best players. say you are putting in players to evaluate. no one will know." "you don't want us to win?" "think of the draft!" "but won't my job be in jeopardy if i lose?" "think of the draft!" or telling players to take it easy or that valuable players will all of a sudden be benched...for what? so we can draft their replacement? you may think t helps the long term picture by getting a better draft spot, but culturally that kind of poo is a killer. it tears down morale and it will keep free agents away who want to win. and it will keep new coaches who want to be part of a winning culture away from your team. and if a coach gets fired for losing even if he was told by the FO to do it, lawsuits coming.

yes we will see.... we'll see a star at QB in a panthers uni again. we'll see a QB who is beyond his years frustrating defenses.
-
he's got to tamper our expectations. that's his mission in life, to help us put the brakes on our excitement because Young or really any other QB taken at the top of this draft or any other draft isn't really worth the selection because you can get a Tom Brady in every draft. really he's just a miserable person in here.
-
because all QBs at any level does this kind of thing and makes the necessary adjustments. really no big deal, even for someone who is 19 years old and in their second college game ever. or frank reich is correct and there are pro QBs who don't make this kind of adjustment and that it is incredibly rare, especially for a 19 year old kid in his 2nd college game. nevermind...i forgot i'm talking to the lone expert here who is superior to every draft scout and coach in the league who sees that Young is on another level. thank you for imparting your wisdom with all of us idiots.
