You know what's worse than having the worst record in the league? Having the worst record in the league and no first round pick. That's the path we're on. Decimated defense kind of helps make that happen.

i agree that their window is closing/has closed. they had their chances over the past few years and they couldn't get it done. history shows that a team set up like that, if they haven't won a superbowl by now with that HC/QB combo, they won't. that said, i'd rather have had a window than the ha-ha wall we've had in our way for the past 7-8 years.

i honestly don't expect anything. i would like to see competence. i would like to see improvement. i would like to see wins. i expect none of it.

I'm starting to think that Reich is just to controlled/controlling a personality, much like Rhule was. They both have the result of keeping everything under control and end up suppressing personality. Rhule was by design. Reich is by nature. I like Reich, but he's holding the team back. And having so many old school characters around us having that effect. Reich needs to go. Caldwell needs to go. Capers needs to go. And that other dinosaur that we aren't supposed to know about who is back wandering around the halls and advising the FO needs to go as well. Just like with DC, it's time for the old guys to move on and the young blood take over.

This team needs a personality. It doesn't have one. It's just an uninteresting losing team with no character.

Best thing Reich could have done for the team, the season, and his job as HC was to transfer playcalling duties over the Brown in preseason and only take over himself if it was a collosal failure. Head coach doesn't need to be the OC or DC. He doesn't need to be focused on one side of the ball. Oversee the whole game abdet your Coordinators take the lead on their phase. Hire the right people and trust them to do their job their way. You give them a direction and a desired result and you trust them to get you there
