  1. Our ceiling is the Superbowl and our basement is winless, just like every team....every year. And just like all but one or two teams, we'll fall in between those two points somewhere and I don't have enough info to go on to get a good accurate gauge of where that might be because it's only the beginning of free agency and there a lot of off-season and then regular season stuff to happen. As far as the direction...it looks like they taking the OL seriously in a way that I've never seen here. That tells me they are serious about protecting the QB and serious about running the ball. Because they are serious about running the ball, you could also probably guess that they will also work to get a good strong workhorse RB or two in here... hopefully though the draft. In working to protect the QB, you could also probably be moved to think that it's all about making it easier for the QB. If that's the case, then you might be moved to think that we're also going to be adding a couple pass catchers. Probably one more through FA and then maybe a couple in the draft. Focus, though, is going to be on offense. 2nd focus will be on giving Evero the parts he needs to make something work on defense. We lost a few parts, but the good news is there is a LOT of time to get good (not elite, but definitely good) players. Good for us in getting those players is not only do we have a great defensive couple of minds running the D. We also have someone who was a great MLB for us who knows defense and knows how to spot talent based on work he has done elsewhere. Blame for the clusterfug we had last couple years falls on Fitt who made the calls...not Morgan. And just because those two were friends doesn't mean there's hive think going on. I have some brilliant friends who aren't made dumber by me being around and I have idiot friends who aren't made smarter by me being around. I do my own thing. They, the brilliant and the morons, do their own thing. Fitt fugged up and made some bad decisions that hurt us and put us in some horrible situations that crippled our ability to do things without feeling like we got fugged. I just hope that Morgan can take the chicken poo Fitt left us with and throw it in a casserole dish with a few items from dollar general that I can add some old bay and Tabasco on and eat without puking.
  2. Lol I don't know. That's the point. Bad poo can happen. But also good poo can happen. (Sorry for the rant that's coming which is more than you asked for and not aimed at you. Coffee just kicked in). We are in March. These are the first days of the off-season and we're all freaking out acting like the regular season starts fuggin Sunday. Last year we had a really bad coaching staff. But at this point last year who knew it would be that bad? Nobody. We have a new HC. Is it possible that it will be just as bad as last year? Yep. But is it possible it will be better in than last year? Also yep. Do we know which it will be? Nope. No one does. No one. I've reached a point where I'm done trying to predict what is going to happen and just put my energy into what I hope will happen and maybe allow myself to be a little naive. Why? Because I'm tired of feeling like crap about this team. Canales is a guy who I think can turn poo around here. I'm a fan Morgan fan and I feel like he can right some wrongs made by his old friend. Making those corrections can hurt but if we get better in the long run it will be ok. So how many wins do I think we'll have looking from this point? I don't know and no one does? How many are we capable of? I don't know and no one does. Why? Because lots of poo can happen in the 6 months before the season starts and then lots of things can happen in the 4 months the season is going on. We act like we're experts in here but we're all idiots. Ok...maybe that's just me. I'm an idiot. I'm just old and honest enough to know that.
  3. It's all tiny windows. Not that much of an advantage. You'd have to get used to it and adapt no matter who you are.
  4. Place holder and future backup for the one we draft.
  5. They'd have to consistently be over 6'8 to always have a clear line of sight over the OL. It's just the most ridiculous of critiques.
  6. And I'm hoping that it's sarcasm going on when I see people complaining about this. This is a damn good thing we're doing here. That line has to be fixed and we're getting a couple good ones here.
  7. No, we draft the center. Sedrick Van Pran Granger is my guy for center. He's the best fit for zone blocking schemes in this draft. We will fill out the rest of the OL in FA.
  8. Big money players (overpaid) go the first couple days. Teams blow their load early. Then comes the good players that help fill out the roster for much more reasonable money. That's where we need to be shopping and that's where we'll be spending money. People are acting like this is black Friday and we've only got this one day to shop a d if we haven't gotten anything by midnight it's too late. The truth is our shopping season is just getting started. We can replace who we lost. I mean it's not like we have an all star roster to replace. We've got a lot of players from a 2 win team. The ones that were going to cost the most but that will be easy to replace are gone. We should be ok with this.
  9. Chicken poo into chicken salad.
  10. Off-season is not over. It's just getting started. Season isn't over. It's still a long way away. I'm here. I'm just gonna watch with an open and hopeful mind because I'm tired of feeling miserable about the team. I choose the perspective.
  11. Seriously...it's alright to be pissed at the way it turned out. We should have gotten more. Fitt fugged up and we got robbed. It's also alright to think it could have been worse and we got a little help to add more talent to the roster.
  12. My first with the two new picks. It ain't horrible.
  13. Why would you do that to yourself? Into self-flagellation? Weirdos.
  14. Whatever we get for burns won't be near what we should have if we had done it at the right time last year. Blame for missing out on anything close to that value falls squarely on Fitts shoulders. We'll get what we can and it will be the right price. The right price is always what someone is willing to pay. We'd like more. We may be pissed with less. We'll get what we get and we'll have to accept it.
