  1. agreed about wiley. he was sitting there, though, and i knew i wanted him and took a shot at him then when i probably could have taken estime. they were pretty close together on the board i was looking at. in fact wiley might been a little later than estime. the problem i had was that there were more RBs i liked than TEs so i figured i'd better grab him while i had the chance. i REALLY like Sanders and i think he's much more of a sure thing than Wiley. Taking him then would absolutely not be a mistake. we could still get a really good WR after that, like you did with Pearsall. Aladepo is a DB i like much in the same way i do Kalen King. Just this tough as nails aggressive guy back there making lives miserable for the offense. And Eichenberg is one of those guys that i keep coming back to. i just think he really fits the mold of panther LB we "grew up" with here. There's a few other LBs i like a lot, but i think he's very underrated. i hope he stays that way so we can grab him later.
  2. it will get there. we get an edge rusher that gives a poo and we'll automatically be better. the problem there is that 2 of the three options are clowney and chase young.
  3. mine (not that anyone would care) ... 1) Edge 2) Center 3) WR 3) CB 5) TE 6) big bowling ball RB did this mock right after listing my priorities. 2 trades ( i can't remember what, but they were offered) bingo bango bongo i think Darius will be a beast. Sedrick Van Pran-Granger is the best fit at OC for what we will be doing. not great options for a wide zone blocking scheme at center after him. this is as late as i would try to take him. risky waiting that long, but i wanted more picks. Xavier is just a favorite of mine, but there were still several really good WRs to choose from here. depends on whether you want another slot guy (i think malachi corley, also a favorite of mine, was there but i went for an X guy). kalen king sticks like glue and he's got a bit of a nasty attitude. i just like watching him play. not the fastest, but fast enough. got abused a little by harrison jr, but it was harrison, jr so.... jared wiley...i just have to admit that i more just like the idea of a 6'7 TE. audric estime fits the bowling ball RB that you can just keep feeding all game and let him pound away. there's several options that would fit here. i really like braelon allen, ray davis, and isaac guerendo as well who are usually available even a little later. zac zinter...i was surprised to see him still available. can't have too many good OGs, i think. i saw and i took. tommy eichenberg is just a hard nosed LB that is everywhere. Xavier Thomas was available there as well and could have gone that way just to have solid book end edge rushers.
  4. if the offense is improved at all, that will also help out the D. i see us picking up a couple more vets in the next few days and in the draft we could probably pick up a couple more solid contributors. i think the quality guys we've gotten so far can be used as a good indication of what we might be able to expect in the draft. o think fitt was more looking at trying to find diamonds in the rough or guys who could be great if given another chance or whatever. i don't know. whatever it was that he was looking for, i think Morgan is looking at something else. probably benefitting more from being a player himself rather than fitt who was a desk jockey relying on input from other desk jockeys.
  5. to make up for the decade that we spent $15.75 on them for.
  6. must have worded the question weirdly. ummmm....i mean...
  7. Darius Robinson Sedrick Van Pran - best zone OC in the draft Any of about 5-6 WRs Big beefy RB...none of this sub-220 pound mess. Allen, Estime, Marshawn Lloyd, Ray Davis, Isaac Guerrendo...any of them Jared Wiley Angry defensive backs that stick like glue, hit like a ton of bricks, and piss WRs off
  8. I'm not pumping any brakes. If I crash, I crash. But I'm going to enjoy the ride. Reminds me of my favorite quote that, some day, will be read at my memorial service. "Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!" Hunter S. Thompson
  9. Be bold dammit. Go big and hold nothing back.
  10. Buy low sell high or something like that. Talk is cheap, but right now that's all we've got so buy buy buy!
