  1. Pay him. But for the love of all that breathes, if some team comes knocking saying they'll give you two firsts for him....
  2. Morgan and Canales know to watch for players who know how to do what they are supposed to do. How we have been doing things for years going back to even drafting Benjamin and Funchess....they weren't looking at skill and proficiency as much as huge WRs. And then we kind of quit looking at WRs altogether. Well, at least Gettleman wasn't. With Fitt, instead of size it was that damn RAS score and whatever supermetric they could use. Relying on analytics to tell you who should be drafted. We watched moneyball and fell for that poo. Morgan trusts his first hand knowledge and those unblinking eyes. He knows what real football players and what makes a guy who can play at a high level because he played with and against the best for so long. I think Canales just knows what players have the mentality to push themselves to play at a high level and he can get that to rise to the surface.
  3. It depends on my mood. It really changes all the time. Xavier Worthy, Addonai, Mcconkey, Xavier Leggette, Malachi Corley.....I really dig all these guys. Hard for me to pick a favorite. Keon Coleman creeps in there for realistic options as well. The guy is a beast.
  4. Better to have too many playmaking options. Plus, with the quality in this draft, it's probably going to be a while before we have this much talent. We'd have a chance at being set for the next 4 years at least.
  5. I like this a lot. I wish the receivers were taller, but that's just nitpicking. those two would be a nice pair to have. Trice would be nice. Guy definitely could be a solid starter. Thers a couple centers that would fit the scheme. I can't imagine us not picking one up unless thry manage to get another option in FA.
  6. At least a dozen guys I like more that we could draft. I wouldn't hate it,but he'd be the second WR we draft. Or third.
  7. Man they are really quiet about everything this year. Kind of frustrating for us wanting to hear what's going on, but I'm also glad they learned to zip it.
  8. he's a keuchly -like beast.....when healthy. you're taking a gamble. if it wasn't for his injury history he would have been a surefire 1st rounder. it's got nothing to do with being from NC State. at the combine he was the LB that everyone was getting excited about. google this: combine 2024 LB standout ... see what pops up.
  9. and while in a defense that didn't suit him. he's an edge rusher for a 3-4, not a DE in a 4-3. not quite the necessary build for that. put him in the right scheme and the dude might just eat. he looked pretty fierce in college clips i looked up. after sitting in jaxville for so long he might be starved looking for an opportunity to feed again. it could be good. worth a shot. at worst a cheap rotational guy. NOT a starter, but good for obvious passing downs he couldn't hurt. nice sucker punch kind of guy.
  10. agreed. that's if we don't draft darius robinson or trice or someone like that.
  11. Could be either. He's a start to getting our pass rush taken care of. Starter if we need. Depth if we get Clowney and a good edge draft pick. I won't be upset if we have to rely on him as a starter. If he's the best pass rusher we have then we'll be in trouble. I don't see that being the case, though.
  12. depth guy. we need starters, but we also need depth as well. checking that box.
  13. it seems like every year i have had to work to get excited about everything that is happening. i honestly felt really good about the coaching situation...frikkin dream team my ass. but what we did in adding to the team was pretty meh. this year, even though we lost a couple pieces that hurt, i REALLY like the guys that we've gotten and the direction we've taken. seriously addressing the interior OL? i mean you can do that? we haven't had guards we can be proud of in a long time. I trust Morgan and Evero with picking out defensive guys, especially if they are getting input from Capers still. SO far i'm digging what little we've done on offense as well. i just can't wait to see what else they can get done.
  14. not sure what i think about this strategy. in one way i absolutely love it because of what it does to the trenches. of course we get our center for the next decade. and we also get our edge set with darius robinson. so that's two huge things. last couple days i've been flirting with this idea of getting also T'vondre Sweat just because i love the idea of DL that consists of Brown at 6'5 320 lbs, A'Shawn Robinson at 6'3 320lbs, and then Sweat at 6'4 366lbs in the middle...and then either rotate or add shy tuttle to the line in goal/short yardage situations. can you imagine the headache that would give OLs? plus, with Sweat, it gives us options with Brown we wouldn't otherwise have. but then there's the playmakers. i'm just not nuts about washington and baker and erick all the way i am other pass catchers. i think they could be good, even really good, but i would just hate to miss out on these guys at the top. i'm a carson steele fan so i'mfine there. he'd give the run game the violent punch it needs. this strategy would need a couple extra earlier picks to get an upgrade with the pass catchers, but then we might miss out some of the trench beef we'd be adding.
  15. stupid people late to the party trying to get some attention not aware that it isn't as bad as they thought. lazy attention whores jumping on a wave after it's reached the beach.
  16. he's trying to get them under the cap. before mike williams departure they had to generate over $50mill in cap space if they even wanted to pay for a draft class. everything they've done, including some pretty big restructures and pay cuts from mack and bosa have been trying to keep their team afloat. not sure how far off they are from where they need to be.
  17. reddick was a guy that wanted it. burns was a guy that wanted to pretend he was spiderman.
  18. has he learned or is he learning? i guess that's the question...or another one. if so, just what is he learning/has he learned? as it pertains to the panthers, i guess the question doesn't matter. we're either stuck with a team going nowhere or we get to watch a team get better. if it's getting better i couldn't care less about the owner. if it's going nowhere, i'll go back to "i couldn't care less" about the team
