  1. Same here. I mean this is almost a historically loaded WR class. If anything, this makes me question the Texans. They might have just lucked into something good with Stroud the way the Patriots did with Brady.
  2. but seriously, freaking out because the texans just traded for some grumpy WR that his old team was just tired of dealing with and just wanted to be rid of despite him being really talented? oye...life might be easier for some fans if they just jumped to another bandwagon.
  3. i guess we haven't had an all out bitchfest thread in a while. got to get our collective heads back in the toilet so we can all get back to feeling miserable about the team.
  4. For your sanity and everyone's patience... Just let it go. It's done.
  5. well run organizations don't have a lot of turnover. we haven't been in years. but sometimes for a organization to have a chance at being well run, they have to have a lot of turnover in a short amount of time to get the right people in. i hope that's where we're at now.
  6. The lack of centers on the list is not something i'm crazy about. maybe they still have their eye on a FA? of course then, with what money?
  7. lots of people with draft crushes on this guy. i'm still one of them.
  8. i would love Benson with either 33 or 39. WR and Benson with those first two. If we don't get Benson, then just pick one a few rounds later. I'd be happy with Brooks, Wright, Shipley, Lloyd, Ray Davis, Corum, Guerrendo, Allen, or Estime (no particular order). Any of those guys would be able to help us.
  9. hard to see him making it past 49ers or chiefs. that said, i can see Leggette going to the Bills.
  10. not sure how i feel about this one. didn't get a WR as early as i like to. reminds me of how things can go off the rails at any moment. i was lucky to get some trade offers that gave me more picks because it could have gotten ugly. i think we still got some good bases covered. only big question mark is the RB. Tyrone Tracy. Don't know much about him. I like this one a lot better, even with getting the WRs going later. I got my OL crew. I think McCormick, Gonclaves, and Zinter is now my goal in every mock. and a WR crew of Pearsall, Burton, and Washington would be awesome. I don't know that we add three and i seriously doubt they are around that long but it's nice to dream.
  11. fortunately we aren't the only ones who do it. unfortunately, we have done it a lot.
  12. i see it like the stock market with undisciplined investors. a player they like gets drafted earlier than they think so they race after the next one on their list and before you know it they start dropping like flies because everyone decides now is the time to jump. then some ones that should have gone earlier slips. but if you really have your eyes set on some players at that position, you kind of have to jump because you really don't want to miss out on the opportunity. it's really unpredictable, largely because you have no idea how teams have these players ranked and the importance certain players/positions are to various teams. i think most draftniks feed off each other. a few will have someone in teams telling them stuff, but you can never really count on the intel they are getting because there may be some ulterior motive behind it. aaaagghh i can't wait for the draft.
  13. every once in a while i see kool-aid or chop there for us. i see darius on the regular. it would be hard to pass up on one of them. i keep wanting to have the second WR we draft as one of the first 3 picks, but there's some really good options available for a little while after that.
  14. bye. third (at least) alt for whoever @CarolinaWillRise is
  15. i think it's awesome that we have such personnel experts in here.
  16. fwiw, i just looked at one of his draft profiles and thought it talked about what we have seen... essentially, he hasn't been known to be a dawg.
  17. lol i think that's where the bar of expectation is for him at the moment.
  18. yeah i won't cry if we draft a couple guys better than him right out of the gate and he becomes an afterthought. i'm trying to keep an open mind about everyone.
  19. this is the first year he's had any kind of route tree to work with (no fault of his). previous years he was used only on screens and sweeps. and in high school he was the "QB" because he was the most athletic on the team and that's where his small high school put the most athletic players. Ran a poo ton of yards and scored a bunch of TDs, though. So basically he's not just an X receiver. Truth is no one knows where his limits are. Just that whatever opportunities he got he made the most of. I'm thinking, though, he could be used in whatever capacity we needed him to. (unless we don't get him because he went too early)
  20. for a young guy, even that stuff can be coached out. when you are managed by obvious poo leaders, you kind of reach a point where you just start to give up.
