My prediction in 3 years - Panthers return to their roots
rayzor replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's been a long time since I scrolled through a thread this fast wishing I hadn't opened it. -
In what strange parallel dimension is LB our biggest need
rayzor replied to Gapanthersfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Wallace will be a stud for the next decade. we will be building around him on the LB corps. that's one position i'm not worried about going forward. -
Taking on Watson contract if the compensation is right
rayzor replied to TD alt's topic in Carolina Panthers
Would it be possible to do that trade without us getting Watson? -
Am I the only one who opened up this thread thinking 1) who is Durham? and 2) why we'd want him playing MLB? I'm moving this thread in the morning.

Jeremy Fowler: Panthers aren’t eager to trade Diontae Johnson
rayzor replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
and we don't need to be eager about trading him. if someone asks and they give us the moon, sure. if not...just roll with him. -
Jeremy Fowler: Panthers aren’t eager to trade Diontae Johnson
rayzor replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
that probably depends on who will be throwing him the ball. -
Mike Kaye: Panthers might start Bryce Young final 7 games
rayzor replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Agreed. This would be a bad thing. You're choosing one player's development over the whole team's fighting spirit. -
Are we now actively pulling for David Tepper to fail?
rayzor replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Panthers
He owns the team I've been a fan of since I was 25....that's over half my life. Do I want him to fail? To what end, that he sells the team? Unrealistic expectation for the next 10-15 years. So do I want the team to lose just to make him look worse? Hell no. Do I want the team to win? Absolutely yes. Do I care about how it makes him look? Absofuginlutely not. I want the team to win and i don't care who owns it.... whether i like the owner or not. Who it is just doesn't matter to me. I just want to win. That should be everyone's main focus. If you want the team to lose just because you hate the owner..... sorry, that's just weak. -
Everybody is talking about resigning Chuba Hubbard or Diontae Johnson
rayzor replied to Basbear's topic in Carolina Panthers
keep chuba if reasonable. same with diontae. and yes...keep mike jackson. -
actually a great way to look at the season. focus is on getting better and evaluating. win what we can, but try to set the tone and build the culture so we can hit the ground running with the program. we find out who can develop into something good going down the road and see where else we can improve personnel in the offseason. you have to take the long view and have patience.

I'm fine. Thanks for your concern, though.

Panthers dead last in point differential at -100, 2nd worst is -65
rayzor replied to R0CKnR0LLA's topic in Carolina Panthers
we need to find some way to go into atlanta next time and just punch them in the mouth. -
he's not that smart.
-
i think he came back a couple plays later. not sure about after that.
-
he needs to get smacked.

Most of Mingo's snaps need to go to David Moore. Ian's snaps need to go to Ja'Tavion.
-
we don't need to be firing canales or morgan. give it a few years and let them build the program.

we fight the whole way through. we got frustrated with some of the results, but we kept fighting. we kept pounding. we may not be winning, but we're forging an identity that fights to the end regardless of what happens. one thing that definitely helps is that we've got dalton back there at QB because he's a fighter. you want him in the fight with you and you know that he is going to do everything he can to help you fight and what he can do will can help you win. bryce, on the other hand....no one takes him seriously. i mean how can you? he's built like a little kid trying to look like a grownup. lift shoes and big hair aren't helping. when he gets worked up, he looks like a little kid getting worked up. when he gets upset, he looks like a little kid pouting. sure, he's nice and polite kid...but nice and polite kids don't win grown up games. point is, keep the red rocket in there and then, when appropriate, get another grown up to come and take his place. and if you find a guy that looks like he's a fighter in the draft in a couple years...get him. for now, though...just fight.
-
i'd rather have a team that fights, gives it everything it's got, and still loses rather than a team that uses losing as a strategy. fighting while losing is still helping to create a winning mentality and culture. a team committed to losing creates a losing culture.
-
i'm not interested in seeing that happen ever again. i'm not committed to losing. i'm tired of that. i want to see this team continue to fight. they won't fight with bryce. they'll quit and i don't want that to happen. screw the early pick. i want this team to fight till the end.
-
aside from sloppy penalties (and there were too many of them, esp. early) they did well i thought. opened things up just enough for Chuba.

Coker is a keeper. So is XL. dynamic duo of the future. keep diontae if we can for one more year. don't care about thielen or any of the other guys on the roster. David Moore would be someone that i'd be interested in keeping around because he's a pretty reliable target as well. 4 catches on 5 targets. i've got no complaints there. not big yardage, but still a guy who will catch what you throw to him. at RB i think we will be set with Chuba and Brooks. TE....i'd like to see more from Sanders and MUCH less from Ian. Get rid of him pronto. OL was just sloppy with the penalties. that can be cleaned up. I think we are one center short of having a great OL. QB...keep dalton. trade bryce. pick up another vet QB that Canales can work with. don't draft a QB until '26 at the earliest. The two offensive positions i would consider a priority next year is OC and TE. the rest can all go defense.
