we were looking for the next drew brees/russel wilson instead of just looking for a really good QB. we tried being clever instead of being smart.

I haven't been watching. Been at a cheerleading competition watching my daughter's squad all day. I don't regret it. And I hate cheerleading.

We won't be drafting Sanders. That said, we'll probably try to under Tepper's orders and it will be a total clusterfug. I have little faith that we will draft the right guy, though. Has more to do with the Tepper's getting involved than anything. No matter what we do in the first, I'll have the same feelings of dread I do when Bryce walks on the field.

Probably not wrong. Rhule wanted his college posse and nothing but a bunch of his type of spineless tools who would revere him like ted lasso.

He doesn't really have the arm to keep up with a full season and he's just too big of a presence for a backup role. that said...i do miss him being our QB and i will forever hate the refs, broncos, and TJ Watt for the damage done to him.

Has anyone suggested getting whatever we can for him before he makes himself look even worse? And don't be concerned with optics. The whole world knows we fugged up...embrace the suck and move the hell on.

positive yardage and points on the board while we are still in it. limited 3 and outs. extend a few drives and give the D a chance to rest. those guys could use all the help they can get. bar really isn't set that high. wouldn't have to be that high for him to bounce backwards off it, though. what we saw when he entered the game last week is what i expect to see this week. and by "what i expect to see" i don't mean i will actually be watching the game. i've got no desire to watch that team this year, especially with him at QB.

if he plays, he only kills any potential trade value.

whatever we do, we don't need to put him back in there. that would be the worst thing. let him play and then they watch and have second thoughts. let them just use their imagination.

i could go with this. no complete demo needed. we've got a decent start with the draft. just keep going and get FAs on one year deals going forward. only thing i could see us doing is adding a youngish vet QB on a couple year deal to see how it works.
