  1. I'm looking at that list and my reaction is... I'm just not liking any of them. Not pulling or hoping for any of them. I know we'll end up with one, but it's just a whole lot of yuck. Nothing to get excited about.
  2. Except for the Howell in the 3rd bit..... wouldn't hate it
  3. Crap. That means we're giving up a first round pick for him.
  4. Yeah I wasn't crazy about it. I have said many times I didn't want us trading for anyone this year. We wasted too much capital on trades last year and we need to wait until we've paid for all that. I really didn't like how much it was going to cost to get him. Already being in a hole, we'd just be digging a bigger one. And then there was the legal/sexual misconduct stuff. Too many questions there and considering how much it was going to cost to get him, it's just made the risk even greater. Point being, I didn't want to trade for him. And there were quite a few others who didn't either.
  5. I see Baker being less a strong personality and more a high maintenance personality. Guy needs coddled.
  6. I can't put a lock on the Sam Darnold era, but I can put one on this thread. #doingwhatican
  7. No need for the insult. To the OP, it's been a minute since we've been respectable at all in the return game. Not really since Smitty really early in his career have we had any kind of consistent and good return game. Since then it's been only a couple instances where we had a jaw dropping return. The rest has been pretty meh. It would be nice to have a respectable return game again. It's been way too long.
  8. It's good to want things. I just hope we don't. Not him. Not for that.
  9. Rhule would have had him play RG.
  10. Quit the insults. And it's 'you're' dumb as fug.
  11. I'd rather not trade for any player, but if we were bound and determined to I'd do this at the most
  12. I wouldn't use the word excited. I said they were learning. Taking steps in the right direction. They still have a ways to go and if Rhule still has to ok them, they aren't looking in the tiny fishbowl Rhule was using to find talent. They've improved there. It's ok to say something good about the team every once in a while if it looks like they possibly might be doing something better than they were. I said they also need to find a good LT and good QB, both of which are still big problem areas that have to be addressed with someone who can contribute at a high level right away. I don't see both of those happening. And I said winning record, not playoff caliber. There's a difference and even then it's a stretch saying that Rhule could take this team that far (although as bad as the falcons and saints are looking, if Brady starts falling off this year, we could be the turd that floats to the top but gets flushed anyways).
  13. The FO is finally learning how to build it right....or they already knew and it was just a matter of taking control away from Rhule (control that he should never have had). Whatever the case, they are doing it right and it's a formula that they can rinse and repeat. Now it's just a matter of what Rhule does with the team the FO is giving him. We tried it Rhule's way with Rhule deciding on and controlling personnel and we fell on our face twice. Now he gets a chance with more legit talent, picked by someone else, that isn't predictated on their relationship with him. If we get a decent LT and a QB that's half decent, we might see a winning record. Downside is Rhule might stick for a while longer
