this has me pumped up about both guys. Icky will make his presence known early and will be a captain quickly based on that and everything else i've heard about him. he's a presence this OL and this team has needed. as far as Corral goes, i really don't think it will take long for him to rise above sammy in all aspects. he might just step up enough as a leader that starting him day 1 would be a no brainer. i know a lot of people think he or any rookie QB should sit a year, but that's mainly if they have any questions about confidence and mental fortitude. i think Corral has it a lot more than sammy and it won't take long for everyone to see it.

Thank you for doing this. I've been thinking about it for a few days but i just didn't have time.

good points about trying to correct the gait and you're probably also right about this more trying to make darnold not look like the tunnel visioned goon he is. i know that tannehill got counseling, but darnold probably needs it more. i'm hoping that his next team will make it available.

Rule is unpredictable. There's no telling. I mean it doesn't really matter if Corral looks or is better, Rule is going to role with whoever he's comfortable with.

Chris Simms - Matt Corral is the top QB of the draft class
rayzor replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
interesting about the andy dalton-joe burrow thing. yeah, i don't expect much from Pickett beyond what will be an ok and overhyped rookie season. Corral could amount to not much of anything, but of anyone in this class i think he's got the best chance to be good. i'm hoping he is. i'm tired of not having a QB worth a crap. -

just out of curiosity, who else would you have up there with him? -

really good interview with Corral here. Touches on mindset as a leader, being a bridge between the players and the coaches, how he dealt with games like Arkansas in 2020 where he had 6(?) INTs that happened because of them adapting what they did to him and other teams copying what Ark. did and his adjustment to their adjustment. Also, his mindset when he faced them again the next year. Really good stuff in here that gives some insight into his thinking as a QB and leader. The guy is smart and serious about what he's doing. -
Honestly, if I was a player that had been around for a while and in was more interested in just playing without doing to much work to prove myself, I'd want to play for Ron. Vets have it easy playing for him.

Yeah he'll be in Washington or Buffalo. Probably with Rivera.

Good luck to him, where ever he lands....it won't be here.

CBS Sports Draft Class Rankings (Panthers #1)
rayzor replied to XClown1986's topic in Carolina Panthers
That's what I was thinking. Didn't they give us a C-? -
Just pointing this out..... Atlanta is close to home, too.

if he's affordable and we've got the cash, why not? still would prefer we focus on getting some beef in the middle of the DL to help shut down run games.

don't forget O Brother, Where Art Thou.

What are the biggest weakenesses on offense and defense?
rayzor replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Offense: QB and OL (hopefully this is better now). Follow that up with TE. Defense: Run D (have we done anything to fix that?) -
i came in hoping for answers. I left adding a question mark to the title.

yeah, to be that spot on...you kind of start doubting that they know something, at least Charlie does.

It was bedtime. No caffeine. So who has the lack of confidence?
-
Wait, who are you talking about? Corral or Sammy?
-
Based on what? Self confidence in what areas?
-
He might be that way in interviews, but from what I've heard about him with his team he's everything you want him to be.
