  1. He doesn't get the benefit of the doubt. There's no reason to give it to him. Until he proves otherwise, he's inept. Every goof and blunder is only going to solidify that opinion from most people.
  2. he's earned it. he's just not cut out for the pressure.
  3. i'll take the guy who was giving an effort over the guy who wasn't. every throw matters.
  4. trying to look cool. he's going to try and look like the laid back "leader" of the pack trying to show how comfortable he is to the newbs. comfortable is the last thing he should be.
  5. i know there's not much going on, but Corral looks like he means business with his throws. 4 and 14 just toss it like it's no big deal.
  6. So sammy wasn't going to let Corral be first out there by himself. Maybe Corral could be a good mentor for sammy?
  7. they're giving themselves no other options. they've dug themselves in a hole and they're stuck in it. they can get themselves out, but it's going to cost them one way or the other. they are hoping for an outcome that just won't take place.
  8. Everyone knows what the deal is. the fact that they are keeping him around hoping miraculously for some trade eventually is a futile effort. any teams that would be interested know it's only a matter of time. cleveland is banking on some team having a catastrophic injury to their QB to make a trade. it's a gamble that likely won't pay off. i understand they don't want to lose money on baker, but they are already losing money and they'll keep bleeding it. cleveland is also trying to insure themselves against a watson suspension but that's a gamble that won't likely pay off either because if baker isn't practicing for them, he isn't playing for them. he owes them nothing and there's very little benefit to him stepping up. they don't want him there. he doesn't want to be there. they don't want him to play for them and he doesn't want to play for them. why would you want that for your team?
  9. Even in practice he can get hurt. Didn't he get hurt and keep playing when he shouldn't have last year? What good did it do him?
  10. How does it make it easier for the Browns if Baker doesn't show up? And Baker is still getting paid. There might be a win win if he shows up, might be, but it's more of a win for them. I'd be more tempted to sit out and collect a check than let them think they can string me along. They are keeping him around for security. I'd want to do what I could to kick them in the nads. The longer this strings out, the less he's going to get paid.
  11. Lol especially if it was Baker.... beating the guy they sold the farm for. Wow, that would be rough. It also wouldn't be surprising if that happened to the Browns
  12. That's the biggest issue. I don't care how good sammy looks in practice or how much he seems to have improved there. if there's no bullets flying, we won't know. i don't even care how well he does with an improved OL, because there's going to be times it collapses or he perceives it's collapsing or CMC is out or something isn't absolutely perfect and he's going to freak out.
  13. Good. I'm not a fan and don't want him here, but Cleveland is being dumb with him and really messing him up. They won't cut him lose because 1) they owe him too much money and 2) they don't know if the guy the tossed him to the side for is even going to be able to play so they are hoping that if Watson won't play that Baker will step up. If I'm Baker, I'm telling them to f*ck off. Cut me or whatever, just get me the f*ck out of here. The longer he stays there, the less of a chance he's going to have to make an impact somewhere else. For him to have a chance at a starting job, he's going to have to prove himself in OTAs and training camp. He's got to have time to learn and then show what he can do. If he's stuck waiting in the wings in Cleveland, he'll never get that chance or at least a fair opportunity. And let's face it, Cleveland is a sucky place to get stuck.
  14. Fisher is/was one of the most overrated coaches from the last quarter century.
  15. What made him different from any other QB out there that made him more successful? They all looked good coming from inferior competition. How many QBs drafted from colleges on the west coast actually succeeded in the league in the last 20 years compared to how many were drafted? What made Hebert stand out from any of the other hyped QBs coming out of West coast colleges? Or did he?
  16. This. Anything the will help then run D. We need help pretty equally at DT and ILB so we'll probably look at those.
  17. Who is our coach? Nope, not betting on more than 5 wins
  18. You need that light to come on and stay on. Sammy needs it, esp. since he's afraid of things that go bump in the night.
