According to Scott.... QB competition between Matt and Sam
rayzor replied to Lurk21's topic in Carolina Panthers
it was Rhule's offense in that it was run they way he wanted it run. the problems were 1) he was coming from a world of checker games into a chess tournament full of grandmasters, 2) he left it in the hands of a guy with absolutely no experience running an offense at any level, and 3) a risk averse QB in year one and a QB scared of his own shadow in year two...both guys he chose out of the very limited scope of knowledge of NFL personnel he had. what could go wrong? -
would have been really useful last year getting the QBs ready for running for their lives. hopefully this year will be better.
-
Darnold has a chip on his shoulder too, but when he looked in the mirror and saw it he got scared and ran into a wall.
-
as long as their QB drills consist of more than throwing the ball into a bucket i'm ok.
-
i hope so. wouldn't mind us being a situation where we can get a better HC, but aside from him and Snow i think we've got the potential for something pretty good here.
-
bye week. which will be changed in the annals of history to "bye bye week"
-
they spend all offseason coming up with a plan and it works....for a few games, and then everyone adapts to what we do and we sit there the rest of the season trying to figure out what happened and unable to adjust to everyone else's adjusting. This happens on both sides of the ball. Hopefully this changes on offense with MacAdoo, but I have very little reason to think Snow figures it out unless he relies heavily on Wilks and some of the other experienced coaches on defense for guidance.

the problem is we start out hot for 3-4 games and get everyone's hopes up and then....

Panthers eyeing Sean Payton post Rhule?
rayzor replied to Panthercougar68's topic in Carolina Panthers
We're not. It's just a game....and I'm tired of losing it. -
Panthers eyeing Sean Payton post Rhule?

I don't like him, but I'd rather win with a coach I didn't like than lose with a coach I did like. I've had enough losing. -

Over Rhule... Ummm... Yes. Please yes. Unless we have to trade for him. -

So we'd have to wait until 2025 to get him? Yikes. I've only got so much time on this earth. I should hope we'd love quicker than that, but who knows.....Tepper might be a long term dumbass where Rhule is concerned. -

Tarik Cohen - Letters to my Younger Self

And just in case anyone wasn't paying attention, in addition to getting a local guy who has been through the ringer and still keeps pushing, we'd be getting a player capable of this : Definitely worth watching and even more worth bringing in. -

Tom Brady taking what should have been Greg Olsen's spot
rayzor replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Kids don't know and if Brady sticks, younger kids just getting into football won't really know any better. Brady could end up being a new standard, which is unfortunate. -
A Panther Fan's Reaction to the 2021-2022 Season

With the exception of me being happy we got Corral, pretty much everything was dead on. -
I fixed the damn title.

No, i know who was responsible and one of them is still here. control of personnel was given to someone who had no business being in control of it.

How do you know a franchise doesn't have a clue what they're doing? Top 5 in dead cap space.

Lol imagine being so pathetic that you freak out and feel it necessary to blast everyone for not wanting to listen to tom brady. He's a boring annoying putz that's been coddled for years by the NFL, the media, and apparently by some fans as well. Just when you think one Brady era is almost over, we have to start another one. Tis goat needs to be taken out to pasture, tied up, and left. -
