  1. Yes, but it would be much more fun to watch than what we've had the past few years
  2. How about we try it with a real HC?
  3. Your response has not much of anything to do with what I said. It's got nothing to do with grinding an axe. It's got nothing to do with a belief that it takes 5 years to build a team. If you've been paying attention I've been shouting that it only takes a couple to turn a team around. And they are listening to offers for several players apparently, and none of them are off the table they all have a price. When the price is right you sell and keep loading up picks, which the new coach can use to build the team as he sees fit using the picks to either draft or trade for players he actually wants, not that he inherited. The new HC is going to want as much of a clean slate as he can get and as much capital to build with. He's going to bring a new culture that is different and it might be hard for players already here to adapt. It might be better for some of them to go elsewhere and it might be better for us if they moved along rather than being a holdover from a previous culture. They don't have to get rid of everyone, but they do need to be listening to offers and take advantage of anything that will help build our power ci stockpile. Don't go cheap, but definitely go if the price is nice.
  4. So make a suggestion. What is your answer for "doing it right"?
  5. So more picks is not better? Letting the new coach totally rebuild this team isn't better?
  6. Baker can't handle pressure. He's not the QB we were sold on. Give me any of the top 3-4 QBs in the draft next year over this guy and behind this OL.
  7. This would more dumb than drafting an LT with your top 5 pick and making him compete with a day two pick from the previous year whose arms you said were too short to play LT.
  8. So we shouldn't draft a QB with the #1 pick? Just trying to understand your point
  9. Why would you want to do this? To get you the best coach possible. To get you the most young talent possible. Add those to the picks we already got and get a great coach and a clean slate with a lot of picks to build his team with. Don't stop at Burns, either. Whoever will get you multiple picks, as long as they aren't OL, you trade them no one outside of the OL is untouchable. Someone wants Jaycee and is willing to give us a first and more? You trade him. Someone wants DJ and is willing to part with another first and more or a couple 2nd rounders? You trade him. Seriously, the more picks you can come away with, the better. One way or another, this team is going to be completely unrecognizable next year...and that's a good thing.
  10. 2 firsts + more? Gimme them picks!
  11. He gone. I mean I know he'll be back but then he'll be gone again.
  12. Lol I forgot to put in how long. I was going to make it permanent.
  13. You've been relocated off the board. Just too much of a turd.
  14. none of that matters. he's gone. he was an oft injured overpaid player. yeah, probably HoF bound, but he wasn't winning us games. hopefully the picks we get thanks to the trade will play more than he did.
  15. i know, but still that's looking pretty desperate. i guess if it walks like a duck...
  16. Well....it's a start. Need to get a couple more day two picks It's good ammo for a new HC. And fit could turn those into a few more.
  17. He can go be hurt there. I'm fine with it. Not fine with having to pay for him From now on, no early first round picks for RB. No extensions to RBs keep them til they get hurt then either trade them or let their contract run out. What a fuggin waste. Missed too many games and paid way too much.
  18. So I wake up on a Friday morning to this poo. Sorry, Ian, this is not massive. I guess it will have to do
  19. The guy is incredibly fun to watch. He's not as fun for me as cam was in college, but he's a legend. Young is still exciting. Reminds me of a younger and less sucky and very frustrating Russell Wilson. He's just got that ability to pull miracles out of his ass and leaves you going "how the hell did he just do that?" But that size..... I just can't overlook it. Hendon Hooker looks really interesting. Not spectacular, but still can do it all. I think he'd be good. Stroud is a really good passer, but pretty one dimensional as a QB. I just want to see more out of him. Same with Levis. I think both him and Stroud will be good, but Cam spoiled me. I want that dual threat guy. But I'll be happy with any QB that can take the team down the field and into the end zone. It doesn't really matter how he does it as long as they do it a lot, especially in clutch situations.
