Starting OL is set, but I'd love to see us add/improve our depth. wouldn't want to mess around with any of the starting pieces we have right now...and that means keeping Boze at center. I feel good about the WRs. There's plenty to build on in that corps. I wouldn't be opposed to adding more talent, but i think it would be best to focus capital on other positions and just work on developing these young guys and giving them experience. Mainly DJ, Shi, and TMJ. Keep Foreman. Keep Chuba (but don't expect him to catch the ball). And add another RB to the group, but don't go overboard trying to find someone. we don't need another CMC. we just need someone that is going to push the chains and it doesn't take much to find someone to do that with this OL. TE....meh. Aside from Tremble there isn't much to like. Really need to invest here, especially if we are getting a young QB. We need another Olson/Shockey type combo for at least a year. QB.... I'd like for us to draft one of the top picks for next year, keep Corral, and I wouldn't mind at this point keeping PJ around just for the lockerroom, but i'd rather us get a more experienced vet QB to help mentor the two young QBs. If I had to name a group of guys i'd consider to be the "core of the offense...I'd have to say all of the current starting OL, DJ, and that's it. All the rest are pretty replaceable, but if we can avoid gutting the WR room and just adding depth to the OL, and even building on the RB room we've got, I'd be happy with retooling everything else. On defense, Burns, Brown, Chinn, Horn, Luvu, and possibly Shaq (who is better than what we give credit for). I'd like for us to see McCall get more action and experience. I think Woods is solid experience. Cj has potential (but he's also got a lot of potential for costly mistakes). But aside from those first 5-6 I listed, i think we could definitely stand to build around them Those guys are pretty much the core of the defense.

i am warming up to the idea of maybe bringing PJ back. not as a starter, still want us drafting our guy, but i think he'd be good for the class room and locker room.

if it helps us get him...i don't really mind as long as we do.

i like stroud a lot. he's not the type QB i was hoping for, but to be honest i was looking for the next Cam, but that ain't happening. Stroud and Young are both way up there and i'd be happy with both. Young can do it all and he reminds me so much of Wilson in his creativity and mobility...at least the way Wilson was. Smart and creative and quick in his decision making and he's a terror as a passer and a runner. makes for some exciting play. Stroud, though, he's a passer...but he's so freakin good at it. he's the best that there is in this class for sure. he's nice and mobile in the backfield and can really make things happen from anywhere. He's not a runner, though. Some think that he could be but he looks so awkward when he tries to run downfield you kind of get why he doesn't do it so much. he may not be as "exciting" as some of the other QBs, but i think he could make this team into a winner. Peeps that want an old school traditional QB would probably be happy with him, but i ultimately don't care what kind of QB he is as long as he wins and i think he would.

i can honestly say that i have no curiosity in the slightest about what darnold can do. same with baker. roll with PJ. up or down we roll with PJ. i'm not interested in finishing out the year with a QB merry-go-round. unless he gets hurt, PJ.

DJ Moore should not have been penalized for helmet removal

considering what he had just pulled off grabbing that TD at that moment...it's to be expected that there be a bit of a celebration. of course the game wasn't over, but still he kept us in it when we thought we were out of it. that was a pretty exciting moment for me and i was just sitting in my recliner. couldn't imagine being the guy that caught it and one of the guys on the team. how long has it been since we'd had one of those moments? the good thing is i know now that we have players that can perform in clutch moments. i just wish we had a kicker that could. -

every call should be challengeable. every call should have a booth review. none of these clowns in the stripes on the field should be trusted...ever. -

panthers would have at least one lombardi had it not been for direct ref involvement. -

Going to look at this later. Thanks for posting it. i like this guys analyses a lot.

i actually think we end up sweeping ATL then split with saints and bucs. adding another couple wins against the broncos and lions we finish up with 6 wins and still a decent early draft pick and a record better than at any point with rhule.
-
Probably. All those picks will end up getting bundled. Future QB will essentially be paid for by CMC and Robbie/y.

What’s your 2023 QB big board (including Corral)
rayzor replied to Wundrbread33's topic in Carolina Panthers
1) Stroud 2) Young 3) Hooker 4) Corral 5) Levis Stroud and Young are neck in neck and they both have issues, but I think they'd still be good. Hooker is just a little behind them, but I'd still be thrilled with him. I still believe in Corral, but I like those other three ahead of him. Levis could be good as well, but I need to see more. Game this weekend should help my opinion. -
Playoff run and Wilkes gets the full-time gig. That's my first choice. I just want to win. I want this team to shock the world. I don't see that happening, but I'd like this team to have a good bit of fight in it to look good for a perspective coach. (No playoff run and we're looking for a new coach). I think we can still find our franchise QB and him not be a top 5 pick. I'm just tired of losing. I mean that's still what I expect, but I'm tired of it. Last Sunday reminded me of what that felt like. I hadn't felt it in a while and I want more.

This would not bother me as I don't care what that clown thinks about anything since he's no longer coach. Better him take credit in his brain for any success than him still be coach.
