I was thinking the same thing, that aside from maybe a definitive statement about McCown, that it won't be until after the Superbowl and after Steichen either becomes the Colts head coach or not. A lot of the moving parts aren't just because of the Eagles being in the Superbowl, it's because of the Colts job also.

his leadership style is what has been said to be aloof...which was kind of a poor choice of words, but he was seen as quiet almost to the point of just not being approachable or someone who just was unwilling to be a vocal leader. he's probably just a bit of an introvert or just wasn't comfortable with the role of being a very vocal leader. not a bad thing at all. it is something that should be overcome a little when part of your job is focusing and motivating your team. it goes with the role of QB. and it's something that he has been overcoming. he needed to learn to communicate better and he has. here's one place that i've seen that word, aloof, used in regards to Stroud, but it's not the only place i've seen it. it's a legit concern, though, if you are expecting someone to be a dynamic personality leading the huddle and the team. he's not Cam, but he doesn't have to be. he just has to be someone that the team will get behind and follow and i think he's becoming that and will only grow in that regard with coaching and gained confidence as a leader.

Mccown as a QB coach would be an incredible hire. I've been a fan of his since he was in Arizona. I really hoped that he could have stuck here and taken over as the starter at some point. That week 1 game in '09 against the Eagles was a heart breaker. First Jake gets taken out of the game because he was doing horrible (wasn't a good sign after that big loss to the Cardinals in the '08 playoffs) and the mccown steps in and I felt like he was going to do ok, except the eagles owned him too before he messed up his leg and went on IR. I always felt like he could be good. Probably will end up being a great HC at some point.

how long do we wait? sam isn't the future. we can't act like he might be. take a chance on one or two of the QBs from this year and keep trying until we find the guy. it's the most important position on the team. you might think that we don't need to do anything until we find the perfect guy, but if we keep waiting for all the stars to align and Cam 2.0 falls into out laps, we're going to be waiting a very long time. We don't need to settle. we DO need to keep swinging, and that's including this year.

makes me more excited about having reich here and more frustrated by the guys we've had coaching this team for too long.

trading up to 1 for Levis is something that i see crackhead irsay doing on draft day. i would hope that we stay away from a move like that.

i don't see that happening. i mean i see payton pushing him. i just don't see wilson toughening up. he'll go home every day crying. he might not even wait until he gets home.

yeah i wouldn't want any of these QBs after the first 4 until well after round 4. i'm thinking 5th or later. and maybe a udfa as a practice squad guy. i'd like to see a full QB room and with a good few options, esp. in case of injury. i'd like the panthers under Reich to be QB university.

tune has my attention. i mean in no way should we draft somoene like him hoping that he could be the starter, but if we draft a QB in the first round (and we should absolutely do that), we should also draft another one later...or at least pick up one as a udfa. i mean after the first 4 guys there's a good crop of "maybe" guys out there who would be worth a shot. as much as i like even stroud and young, there's no way i would be ok coming out of this draft with just one QB.

I think that's all we'll need to pull it off, either Stroud or Young will be there because colts will go Levis. Don't know which QB Houston will be sold on, but I think it's most likely Young. We just need to get ahead of the Raiders.
