  1. He wouldn't be a day 1 starter. Best chance he has to start is backup to an injured vet. Only way I take him is as a backup to a vet I was planning to use the next couple years.

  3. I'm really curious who all is going to be involved in that. I wonder how many people are usually involved in those interviews. I'd love to see if that data guy, George Li, will be involved in some way.

  5. looks like won't be much going on at all for a few days
  6. That's what I'm counting on. He didn't get his coach, maybe he'll get his QB.
  7. Ideally, imo, we draft a QB with the first and pick up one of these TE with the second. Then we can spend the rest of the draft on defense. I don't care. At that point I'd consider the draft a success. Oh, @Rayzor1...
  8. I guess it could be, but I think things are more likely to go wrong when he takes matters into his hands. I see him kind of like Darnold. You'll see glimpses and he's capable, but he'll always be limited in what he's actually be able to do.
  9. Point guard is the guy who runs the show and makes poo happen. He'll manage it create opportunities for others, carry our the game plan, or improvise and take matters into his own hands and make something happen. I think that's Young, Stroud, and AR.
  10. Some smart people handle pressure well. Others don't. Sammy don't.
  11. So the problem switching Donte for Ramsey would be what?
  12. https://sports.yahoo.com/panthers-assistant-deangelo-hall-hints-220545621.html "On an episode of NFL Total Access this past week, NFL.com writer Adam Rank shared an intriguing exchange he had with Hall prior to joining the Carolina Panthers. And that conversation was about Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey, who could soon be on the move . . . to Charlotte? “I wrote an article for NFL.com. The team that I put out there was the Cincinnati Bengals, which I thought made a lot of sense. But what was really interesting is that on the show was DeAngelo Hall—and he said, ‘Oh, don’t forget about Carolina.’ And then a couple of days later, he ends up in Carolina.” Ramsey does have quite a few connections to a number of other new Carolina staffers—defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero, defensive backs coach Jonathan Cooley and defensive line coach Todd Wash. The Panthers, additionally, could very well be in the market for another premier defensive back given Evero’s reliance on his secondary." To all this I say, "yes, please!" Imagine Ramsey with Horn and Chinn in the backfield?
  13. There's better WR options available. But DréMont would be a great addition, especially opposite Burns. I'd also like to see us go for Lavonte David and Alex Singleton to help out at LB and Greg Gaines or Sheldon Rankin to help out at NT.
  14. Kids do dumb things thinking that they are invincible and rarely cae about the long term effects of their actions. Professional players are no different, in fact they get sucked into a culture where they just learn to roll with whatever the team doctors say and do. They aren't focused on the long term. It takes people like Byron Jones stepping up and ringing the bell to draw attention to their more than likely future of pain in part done by treatments they went through trying to get back on the field quicker.
  15. The problem isn't the physical abuse they put their bodies through. The problem is what passes as medical treatment where care is more based on getting players out on the field as soon as possible, whatever drugs or procedures it takes regardless of the long term impact on them. They have been told that whatever treatment they receive is in their best interest, when it is in the best interest of the organization. The problem is they aren't told what the long term impact is. They are pressured to use the organization's choice of doctor and tes, they should have considered this and they should have done their due diligence. They should have looked at other options outside of the organizations choice irlf doctors and treatments. And this alarm is being sounded by a player who discovered it too late so that others can know. There's nothing dumbass about it.
  16. depends on what's in the pipe you're smoking i guess.
  17. yeah i'm not sure what i would like to see more...the rodgers/irsay conversations or rodgers having to deal with the new york press. the guy is an attention whore who doesn't like people talking about him. he wants to throw out controversial comments on the regular, but no one criticizing him. go figure. he's turned into a clown show. great player...horrible guy to have on your team. same with russel wilson. at least we thought he was a great player. turns out to be just an incredibly lucky narcissist.
  18. Rodgers just needs to go away....but only after the draft. we don't need another QB hole needing filled to clutter up our pursuit. Let him get traded to some QB needy team and let the packers go ahead and promote love to the starting gig. Indy, go ahead and trade for him, please.
  19. just a point of interest here from a 2021 article... https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2941963-report-justin-fields-scored-similarly-to-joe-burrow-on-nfl-draft-cognitive-test?amp=1
