i will say that there shouldn't be any question of whether or not Stroud can perform like he did against GA every week. The only added element to his game was the running/playground style of play. He showed us all that game that it was never really a question of "could he or couldn't he?" do it, it was a question of "will he or won't he?". The skill was there, but until that game he never really had to. It was a choice for him all along. It's an added dimension of his already stellar game that he can and will incorporate if needed or called for. For Young, it's a key part his style of play that he relies on. Forced to choose, i'd rather have a guy who didn't have to rely on being uber-mobile to play his game.

i never had a problem with it, tbh. whatever it took to get more fans in pantherland and in here i was cool with. i figured, in fact, that will a personality as dynamic as his and with winning, that we were going to get "bandwagon" fans who ended up sticking around and we did. the truth is for all of us that were around before 1995, we became bandwagon fans of the panthers. that's how we start out. some migrate in and and some migrate in and stay. i'm cool with either.

more respected as an OC than an HC. Offensive mind gets respect because of New England work. I would argue that anything in New England is inflated when it comes to reputations of former assistants, but for some reason they all have had too much clout.

i'd love us to pick up another vet edge guy. draft after QB i want us to focus on WR/TE/CB. I have no real preference to order, just BPA of each of them after round 1. ideally we'd also be able to add to the OL every draft, but i'm not sure if we'll be able to. i actually wouldn't mind if we were to sacrifice our last couple picks in moving up to help make sure we get all three of those addressed. take the BPA at 39 and then move up to get those other two.

i don't know...i think it's kind of worth it to have the ability to make this choice. i'll gladly put up with being slightly annoyed for a couple months just so we can have a dominant QB for the next decade+.

i'm anxious to see what they look like and i thnk it's probably going to happen, but i don't have any clue whatsoever what they should look like. i do know that the ideas that have been thrown around in this thread have me less than enthused lol.

what's funny is the number of people who are pissed and offended and feel they need to retaliate if someone has the nerve to have a different opinion.

if any iteration of the panthers org/coaching staff should be trusted to make the decision, it's this one. until i see otherwise...

i don't know about it being a great debate other than i think it's a much better debate to be having than 'who the fug are we going to pick at 9?' For me i don't see much point in arguing or getting upset about it because, from where i'm standing, we win either way.

lol i'm not a fanboy of any player. i'm a fan of drafting either Young or Stroud and i've been pretty stinkin clear about that. and i'm also a fan of drafting AR too. i'm leaning more towards Stroud...at the moment...but i've said from the beginning that i'd be excited whoever it is and really it's just a flip of the coin. i don't care who it is among those three. why? because i'm a panther fan and i think we've got the right coaching staff (for once) making the decision and we've got three helluva good choices to choose between.

sometimes it takes a while, but for this one he's just got 3 accounts going right now. one of them hasn't posted yet.

like i said before i miss him. that era was probably the most exciting for me and he's probably my favorite panther personality of all time next to smitty. it's not being obsessed, though, when you notice similarities between people who came here and became panther fans because of Cam back in 2011 and people who have joined here lately because of either Young or Stroud. Seems like there's more Young fans though.
