  1. This one was that numerology wacko. I think he's had at least 60 accounts. He's shown up a few times recently. It comes in spurts.
  2. There doesn't have to be a #1. The way Young has always played is the guy who is in the best position to make a positive play is the #1 guy. I don't see that changing here. And there's several promising options to throw to still...Theilen, Mingo, Hurst, and Sanders. Also Shenault. No #1 type in there(yet), but these guys are enough to move the chains and score with the right QB and play design/calling.
  3. we should be concerned because some drunk musclebound jocks and/or his wife has just noticed that young is smaller than the usual QB.
  4. And for the record (and because that comment pissed me off a bit) ... Acting like a coward hiding behind the warning button? That "cowardly act" is meant to let people know when they are pushing things a bit too far so that they don't wind up doing something that will get them banned, but do it in a way that isn't calling someone out in public. It's fugging meant to keep people from getting called out in public because who loves that kind of poo happening to them? It's a fugging courtesy. Ain't no hiding going on and if you've been here and paying attention you'd know that I don't have a problem calling anyone out either through a warning (that's really no one else's business) or in the middle of the thread, so if you or anyone else gets a warning from one of us, be glad that we're not just banning you right out or calling you out publicly. It's no one else's business when you get a warning, not even those who have reported what you did drawing our attention. And when you get a warning, don't take it personally (or do, I don't really care), just comply and move on and let it go. It's not as serious as you think, but it definitely keeps it from getting too serious or too out of control. And now....
  5. save those discussions for the tinderbox. keep it out of here. in other words....knock it off. we've got a thread over there for discussions just like this. but keep it over there. clear enough?
  6. but it's a take that several very vocal posters have taken. the hot take, preseason does nothing but show that this team isn't good and we're in for a losing season and it shows that we hired the wrong coach.
  7. your preseason record doesn't matter. and i don't care what harbaugh says. that might be his goal, but for most teams preseason is for evaluation. if going undefeated in preseason is important to you, then you're going to have an easy time of it because you're playing against teams who don't have it as their primary objective. but when you get to the end of preseason...what happens to that record?
  8. this one has me a bit surprised. of all the scrubs on the team, they cut mccall?
  9. It wasn't this bad last year. Not even close, imo. So the question I have is what caused the regression?
  10. Agreed. And I did have a few years where I madey own bbq sauces and salsas. Not sure why I quit doing it. Lol I think i just lazy.
  11. Good call. And yes, we're slacking. Spending too much time chasing down Internet marketers spamming about dinosaurs and potions made by real witches in the NFL forum.
  12. But seriously 1) OL not looking like a bunch of lost and drunk puppies 2) defense showing that they know how to stop an offense 3) don't suck
  13. this. it was a damn practice game. it was our first. it was an evaluation. and it was against a team that felt it needed to have a win before winning actually matters. the whole damn thing was basically a sucker punch. so congrats to the jets on their "win". i hope y'all fall flat on your faces.
  14. And I'll say again, I don't want preseason games to be treated like real games. If it doesn't count, don't act like it does. Risk of injury is too great for a meaningless game. Treating it like a real game is honestly just stupid.
  15. Fans are paying for them, but they aren't for the fans. These aren't GAMES. They are preseason games. There's a big difference. What the fans want should not factor into what the teams decide to do. Fans being in attendance should be irrelevant to the goals of preseason games. Fans going should know that what they are getting isn't a real game, more just a glorified practice. If they expect more, that shouldn't be a concern of the team.
