I was actually against bringing in big names at the TDL. I will admit it would be nice to have a scoring forward, but MackEachern has been serviceable. This team will go as far as the goaltending will allow. If we can get average goaltending, I see us in the finals. If Andersen drops off, all bets are off. The only team that worries me is Vegas, they are a matchup nightmare. I do not think Mier, Kane, or O’Rielly would have made a huge difference on our team. I do think Dmitry Orlov would have been a big get for us. However, it is about chemistry and those big name players, I believe, would have been detrimental to our team. If we are on, no one in the league can beat us, period, especially at home, and who has home field advantage?

Yeah it’s more than likely a unicorn, but the entire panel was giving credit to the team.

Boy, I am actually enjoying this game. The game was out of reach a while back, but we have fight and gusto. The Hughes brothers are good but not good enough. We will own them next game on.

This, they know their season is on the line today. They are jumping and pinching, this will bode well for us moving forward.

We are not playing a physical team this year like the Rangers were last year. We played that team (the islanders) last series. We can match speed with speed for the most part. We have clearly been the more physical team against the devils and they don’t like it. I loved Dougie as a cane, but he wants no part of the physical game, so Burns is a cut above Hamilton if you ask me. We just have to keep on the forecheck and limit their chances. If we do that I like our chances. I do not believe we will sweep them so just take it one game at a time.

I was at the game, and honestly I felt the refs just let it play on both sides. However, if a player loses his helmet and continues to play that is a penalty, they never called it. I couldn’t see who it was that was trying to lay on top of Burns and make love to him, but that should have been a penalty. Other than that, I felt it was even. Though the first tripping penalty against us was funny, Burns did clip his skate, then the devils player made two moves on his own, then fell down (it really wasn’t a penalty).

I did and cursed the refs for no helmet no penalty, insane.

These refs are terrible. Wave the goal, then decline the Trouba penalty, wow. I hope someone destroys Trouba, dirty SOB. Easy to see the fix is in, I expect a few more calls against the Devils to help the rangers out.
