Donte doesn’t have the size or the leaping ability to hang with some of these WR’s. He has gotten so much better against the pass, but he is not going to grow 3 inches or add 6 inches to his vertical. Tough to put 5’10” DB’s on 6’4” receivers with a 38” vertical. Best he can do is start accidentally tripping receivers with his legs.

Getting their ass chewed out is one thing, but how about you put the right personnel in the game according to down and distance. We repeatedly got gashed yesterday due to mismatched personnel. NFL is a repeat league. Expect to see this again. I hope Snow at least mixes and matches DT’s with DE’s to try to slow the run, instead of watching his DT’s get pancaked every play when we thought it was a pass. It’s ridiculous, and shows just how inexperienced our coaching staff is to situational football. We are clueless, we can draw it up but can not adjust. Any team that repeats WFT’s blueprint will beat us. Pass on D Jax and run over D Brown with constant double teams and pancakes.

I’ll be that guy. He is just too short to play against 6’3 and up receivers. Football is about matchups and WFT, made a point to go to what ever receiver he was covering. A good coach would take that matchup away, by removing that player in passing situations. Oh sigh. Even fat bastard Gettleman knows you can’t coach height.

Everyone seems to be running a wide 9 these days. My frustration is strictly on substitutions. If a guy continues to fall down, get pancaked, or moved off the point of attack, then replace him with someone else, instead of watching the same damn C gap gash, over and over and over.
