I believed in Baker. But I was wrong. Also, the OL sucks ass.

I’m not defending Baker, but Shi slowed down on his route. However, the ball would have still been overthrown. I suspect we will see every team blitz the bejesus out of us, because we have almost no hot routes, everyone is getting medium to deep. We absolutely abandon the run game every time, I just don’t understand what the coaching staff is doing? -
Official Panthers at Giants please god let us win a game thread

That is one reason Baker is valuable, he has had to do that in most of his pro career, except in 2020. -
Would you be pleased if we hired Byron Leftwich??

If he brings in Tom Moore, and it depends on the DC. Everywhere Tom Moore goes Lombardi’s follow. He is ancient though. I would be excited about the offense and worried about the defense. I wished we could get Tomlin personally. -
Excellent job. I hope the offense begins to gel, cause we will need to score as many points as possible with our Swiss cheese run defense.
-
Actually, the kick most likely would not have happened. It was 13 seconds left. The penalty would cost the Browns 10 seconds and the clock would start on the officials ball placement. The kicker would have to run like hell and pray that he can get set and snap the ball in less than 3 seconds. It would not happen.

I’d prefer

The real poo played center and had 100% snaps.

We would have a NFL defense again. I think Vic would be a good hire.
-
I agree. We should hire the best person possible regardless of ethnicity. If the argument is that we need more ethnic diversity at the head coach position, then let’s first ensure that the coordinator positions are filled with the OP’s desired ethnicity. That way you have more qualified candidates for the head coach position. It is hard to say let’s hire a coach with a different ethnicity, yet the pool of candidates are so small. There are way too many fallacies for the OP‘s position. Straw man, anecdotal, logic, slothful induction to name a few.
-
Dude are you going to preach diversity and inclusion, then say here comes the “fair skins?” That’s fugged up.
-
Amen, I guess Baker is getting all the blame.
-
I’d love to hire a clack coach. What is clack again? Seriously speaking, skin color has no bearing on being a NFL coach. I do find it strange that so many Caucasian coaches have little to no NFL playing experience. That said, I would take Flores, Sean Payton, poo give me drive-in movie screen forehead Payton Manning.

I suspect this will be his last season, unless he makes it to the playoffs.

Baker had a perfect QB rating in the 4th quarter

And he gave us the lead, period. He did his job, where was the defense when they needed to man up? -
How dare you bring facts to a Huddlers argument. The huddle wants Baker burned at the stake, and let Elflien and the Defense off with a warning. Talk about overreacting, the huddle is gonna huddle. Baker will be fine, give the team some time to gel, something we didn’t do in preseason. Cleveland sucked to but had great line play on both sides, and a terrific run game. The defense is where our focus should be. How disappointing it was to let Cleveland push us around.
-
Absolutely not. 4/5 were on the center. Every snap was low. The one behind center is tough to pin on, could have been Baker could have been the center. Since Elflien struggled all game, I would blame him.

Matt Rhule, you're a fuging pussy. And an idiot.

Completely disagree. I saw more from Mayfield than I have ever seen from Sam Darnold. Baker is a legitimate QB, similar to Cousins. Our defense and center cost us today, period.
-
Tom Brady would be a question mark, if the center cannot consistently snap the ball properly. Garrett and Elflien had a huge impact on this game.
-
My only complaint is the multiple holding calls on Horn. Completely unacceptable for a shutdown corner, and they came at the worst time.
-
It will get better. I was more disappointed by Horns play. I know it’s his freshman/sophomore year but he is to handsy. D line is very suspect, but should improve.
