NFLTR: Panthers Cap Casualty Candidates
Dingo_ate_Babies replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Agreed. Wonnum, Clowney, and Robinson were only impact lineman from last season. Not sure how you justify cutting them. There is no depth behind them. They should be in line for restructures. With Brown returning they should all improve. Tuttle on the other hand provides no value. Chalk him up as another free argent bust. He needs to go. We need to add to the line via draft since we already have enough veterans. -
I’ve heard rumblings that DK Metcalf could be on the trade block. I would consider sending them our 2nd round or 3rd rounder for him. I could see it happening considering Canales connection to Seattle and our need for a WR1.

Championship caliber signings -
I dunno, Bryce had if way worse with what he had to work with. Caleb has an elite receiving core to work with along with Kmet and Swift.

I have a feeling that Canales wouldn’t want him. Not sure he would want the potential power struggle. -
He’s decent depth at best. we need an upgrade at LB bad.

Opinions you say? Use our 1st round pick on a kicker
-
Let’s claim him off waivers and play him again. Bet he goes off if we do.

BREAKING: Panthers cut Chaisson
Dingo_ate_Babies replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
We can extend Xavier Woods, Pineiro, and Hekker. Redo Moton's contract (might have to extend). Restructure Theilen. Next season cut Sanders, Tuttle, and maybe Moton if we can't redo his contract. -
He also doubles as a fullback, so there's value there too.

WOOT for WOOTen

I'd take him as a backup. 4th or 5th CB.

Panthers Greatest 1-year Wonders List

I was considering throwing Beuerlein in there. He had that monster year in 99, but never had anything close to that ever in his career before or after. Definition of a journeyman QB. -

Moose chased the money and didn't live up to it. Had he stayed, we might of made the Superbowl in 05. -

Imagine if we had Reggie White in his prime and paired him with Peppers. Different eras I know, but just dreaming. -

Wahle was here for a few years, but his first was pro-bowl caliber. He kinda dropped off after his first season. -

Good one that I missed. Forgot about Mitchell. Eric Reid may not qualify here , forgot he produced for 2 seasons. -

So stupid Nipple Shorts pulled the franchise tag off of him and got nothing for an All-Pro CB. -

Didnt include Norman, because he was with us for awhile and gave us 2 really good years. -

Ah yes, forgot to add Peanut Tillman and Stephon Gilmore. -

We can sign Gilmore if we spread-out the CAP hit across multiple future years. Something like: 2024 - 1 million 2025 (Dummy) - 4 million 2026 (Dummy) - 5 million 10 million total pay-out.
