The good news is most of our impending free agents aren’t back breakers if we lost them. The top tier of them are past their prime or near retirement. The rest can be easily replaced or they wouldn’t be too expensive to bring back.

I was wondering when this was going to get done. He’s nothing special but gets the job done as a 4th or 5th option. That said, we need to draft a receiver with our 1st or 2nd round pick. There’s no one worth overpaying in free agency right now who is going to really move the needle for us. Can’t walk in the season with same group as last year.

The intent behind the question wasn’t bad, it’s just how he framed the question was kinda goofy. I’m surprised people like him can do media professionally when they aren’t good public speakers. I wonder what he gets paid to do this.

My guess is this is almost like a restructure. This moves probably frees up some cap space this season, but he gets a little bump while while taking the cap hit down the road.

No, lol. For several reasons. First, the 9ers won’t trade him since they already traded Deebo. Secondly, his contract is bonkers and the assets needed to acquire him would be way too much for a currently injured receiver. He is good, just not worth the trade. We’re better off using our 8 pick on the best WR available in the draft.

Goodbye Shy Tuttle

Some of these contracts teams are shelling out for mid level players are bonkers. This is why we need to focus on building through the draft with the cap space we have left.

We can’t afford to trade assets and then shell out big money contracts. We have a lot of needs and the draft is the best way to address them with the cap space we have. We’re not a couple players away from contending.

Agreed. Wonnum, Clowney, and Robinson were only impact lineman from last season. Not sure how you justify cutting them. There is no depth behind them. They should be in line for restructures. With Brown returning they should all improve. Tuttle on the other hand provides no value. Chalk him up as another free argent bust. He needs to go. We need to add to the line via draft since we already have enough veterans.

I’ve heard rumblings that DK Metcalf could be on the trade block. I would consider sending them our 2nd round or 3rd rounder for him. I could see it happening considering Canales connection to Seattle and our need for a WR1.

Stroud is not better than Herbert. Hurts is not better than Love. Both are on superior teams, especially Hurts. Eagles have the top D, RB, and O-line and 2 really good receivers. Their only weakness is him.

Championship caliber signings

I dunno, Bryce had if way worse with what he had to work with. Caleb has an elite receiving core to work with along with Kmet and Swift.

I have a feeling that Canales wouldn’t want him. Not sure he would want the potential power struggle.

He’s decent depth at best. we need an upgrade at LB bad.

DE Sam Hubbard for the Bengals tore his PCL against the Titans.

Mike Jack should be cheap to resign. He shouldn't be a starter, but good depth. I would cut Sanders in the offseason and take that money to resign Chuba. If he doesn't take it, then let him walk. Johnson is worth it IMO. I'd give no more than 25 mil a year. If he wants more than tag and trade him.

We can extend Xavier Woods, Pineiro, and Hekker. Redo Moton's contract (might have to extend). Restructure Theilen. Next season cut Sanders, Tuttle, and maybe Moton if we can't redo his contract.

He also doubles as a fullback, so there's value there too.
