[Sheena Quick] Panthers interested in Eric Fisher
Louie replied to SgtJoo's topic in Carolina Panthers
Hopefully, it's a cap friendly deal. Then it would be great! Matt Khalil money, not so good. -
Last year was a musical chairs on the offensive line. That was a big part of the problem. Hopefully, this year we can get 5 guys that play almost all the snaps together, so they can gell.

If you compare Minshew to Newton, with the exception of our dominant super bowl year in 2015, is Minshew a medicore quarterback? It could be argued that he can be a quality starter, if given an opportunity. Minshew's average QBR is a 93.9. he has thrown 41 TD's to only 12 int's!!! His completion percentage is 63.24%. But, if you look at his improvement for the 3 years he has played in the NFL, he keeps getting better! If we had a solid Offensive line, with our weapons, man. I think we could do alot worse than giving Minshew a chance to prove it in a starting role. The swagger and mustache are real!

Well, he was a sex offender anyways! Time to crush him twice a year! LFG!!!

So, ATL is trying to do a 3 team trade, so they can get rid of Matt Ryan.
-
We never pull out!
-
Same. I've reported it to goggle a few times, trying to get it removed, but it keeps coming back like herpes.

If we get Watson I am going to troll that Aaron Wilson guy so hard. He will look like a clown.

I thought Atlanta was supposed to be clearing cap, not spending it?

The sad thing is I don't think players really look at it like we do. They just see," Oh, it's the Saints!!! WhoDat!!! They won a superbowl! Look at Michael Thomas and Kamara!!!!"" If I want to win I need to chose a winner." While, in reality, they won the superbowl in 2009 (13 years ago), Payton retired, Michael Thomas hasn't really played in 2 years and isn't as good, and Kamara will probably be suspended. All of that PLUS how can they possibly sign Armsted, Fuller, and take on Watson's contract? What about next year's cap? What about all the picks they just gave up? How can the Saints possibly be a good destination in their current state? I just don't see it. But, Watson will probably chose them because, Oh look we are Saints!!! Screw them Saints!!!!!!!!!!

I guess Mac Jones was just a skinny white dude that had a dad bod at age 21? But all he did was win and make throws! I guess that was only because of the talent around him? But, Bryce Young doesn't have good talent?
-
Because Watson represents hope. Which, we had none off the last half of the season!

Great post. I think Carolina makes by far the most sense. Simply because of the offensive pieces we have already, and we could add Fuller (WR "the player" played with in Houston) easily. Really, can the Saints sign "the player" and sign Fuller and sign Armstead? Is that even possible? People keep saying "cap doesn't matter" you can somehow make it happen! Every time I see this I get p*ssed off. Really? I know I shouldn't be that emotionally invested in it, but I am. It seems like Carolina usually follows the regular salary cap dynamics, but the Saints somehow has some salary cap magic space they create every single year to sign whatever players they want with no problem.

Very Nice write ups! I agree totally! Fitty doing some good work this go around. Seems like more him this time than Rhule!
-
Sign Fuller asap! He played for Miami last year on a one year 10.3 million dollar deal. But broke his finger early and sat the rest of the year. Before that he was Watson's favorite target in Houston and put up decent numbers. Probably could sign him for 8-9 million? Put Robby in the deal and sign Fuller!
-
I was thinking that cmc might be part of the deal now! Very solid RB to sign as just a backup.
-
Good signing!
-
That's the worst part about all of this. I won't be as upset if he signed with Cleveland. But, having to face Watson twice a year for a decade, after we just got done with facing Brees. It's like some franchise's just keep on dominating every year and replace their franchise QB right away with another. It's annoying being a Panthers fan.
-
So, the Saints take on Watson's 35 million salary for 2022 AND manage to resign Armstead for what 17 million a year? Hey, that's only 52 million OVER added to their 7 million OVER right now. This cap stuff is ridiculous!
-
100% Fug both of their franchises. I hate'em both.
-
Or if you play online games, "Looking for Group"
-
FUGGGGGGGGG THE FALCONS AND THE " Get the Fug off our field!!!!!!! QB Matty Ice). They need to just suck it up and pay Matt Ryan his 50 million per year for his old ass and stay out of this.

Houston still doesn't have to trade him. It is a give and take scenario. Both Houston and Watson have to agree on the trade. Both sides have motivation in getting a deal done, but Houston is not going to give Watson up for nothing, nor take a much worse deal when Carolina might be offering way more.
