  1. So what's it going to take to, ya know, get them to do the dirty work for us?
  2. The NFL will never get better until Refs start getting fined or fired. Players suck, they get cut. Coaches suck, they get fired. Refs suck, they get rewarded with the Super Bowl.
  3. And yet the previous guy didn't get the memo, and this entire staff f'd up by getting rid of Cam last year.
  4. Have to wonder what this team would look like if the Joe Brady experiment never happened. Feels like a year and a half was wasted.
  5. Win out and make the playoffs. Tomorrow is never guaranteed. If I keep the "Maybe next year" mindset, eventually next year is never going to come. I'd like them to win now.
  6. I've liked him for a long time. I think his ceiling is a lot higher than he gets credit for. Would've been cool if the Jags had traded the 1st pick and built up their team around him. They probably could've rebuilt the team on the assets from the trade alone.
  7. There's going to be some bad football teams making the playoffs this year. A lot of teams fighting to get to 9 and 8. Wouldn't be surprised by an 8 and 9 team getting in as the 7th seed in the NFC.
  8. Yeah, essentially the last year has been us repeating the steps of the scientific method to figure out what is going on here. We've worked through pretty much all of the variables. The constant is Brady. Teddy has a weak arm, Brady is shielded from a lot of criticism. Sam has issues going through progressions and making good decisions, Brady is shielded from a lot of criticism. CMC is hurt like every other game, Brady is shielded from a lot of criticism. The O-line has issues, Brady is shielded from a lot of criticism. But then you have times like last week. Cam plays great, CMC makes great plays, the O-line doesn't look bad, and Brady still can't generate points or really any sustained drives. Joe has issues with short yardage, Joe has issues with the red zone. So they go out and get him a QB that should be a short yardage and red zone cheat code, and he still looks mediocre. Brady is just not good enough. He is the constant, and is in over his head.
  9. Haha, so no, not smart enough.
  10. He's got a good chance to win it all this year. Will be interesting to see what he does after that.
  11. If the Steelers are dumb enough to get rid of Tomlin, I hope we are smart enough to back up the Brinks truck and send Rhule out to Oklahoma.
  12. It is going to be legitimately hard to tank. That 7th playoff seed is going to be a carrot on a stick for legitimately like 8 teams in the NFC. I don't trust any of these teams to get to 10 wins. A few teams may get to 9 wins and it will come down to like a dozen tie breakers to see who makes it. One of these teams has to make the playoffs. Who do you trust from this list to string together enough wins to get in? 49ers- 5 and 5 and playing the Vikings right now Falcons- 5 and 6 after beating the Jaguars today Saints- 5 and 6 Eagles- 5 and 7 Panthers- 5 and 7 Washington- 4 and 6 Giants- 4 and 7 Bears- 4 and 7 Seahawks- 3 and 7 and playing WFT tomorrow None of these teams are objectively any good right now. Every team is flawed, one has to make it.
  13. Other teams have coaching staffs full of NFL experience. They see on the film what this team can and cannot do. They plan accordingly. This staff doesn't have that knowledge at the NFL level. It's not just the head coach. All of our most important coaching positions are held by guys who made their name at the college level. We have two options: 1. Go through the growing pains and hope they figure it out at the NFL level 2. Blow it up and try again with another staff Right now, the league has them figured out, and they can't figure out other teams.
  14. Someone said he had done it before. Who knows, I'd be ok with turning on Madden and just using the "Ask Madden" play call if it meant getting Brady on a plane to LSU or Alabama and away from this team.
  15. Here is how I see this playing out: - Brady is fired tomorrow - Rhule takes over play calling - Team goes on a run, winning just enough games to lose draft position, and not enough to slip into the playoffs - We will all get excited that the team showed progress to end the year - Rhule is brought back after having saved his job - We will be a sleeper pick in the 2022 season - The wheels will fall off after starting the 2022 season 6-0 - We'll have a similar thread opened up on 11/27/2022 asking where it all went wrong and who we are rooting for All I am rooting for the rest of the year is that something like what I have above doesn't happen. I don't care who wins this year. Hell, let the Patriots win it all again, I really don't care. I just don't want to be stuck in football purgatory any more.
  16. This forum is going to just be group therapy for the next few months. It sucks, I hate it, but I'll be here for you, if you all are here for me.
  17. The O-line is clearly a major issue, and that has to be considered. You have to play Cam the rest of the way. He needs to be given a chance to show what he has left. Today was a team effort in being trash in every phase of the game. Cam didn't look good. No one looked good. This team has to know if the offseason needs to be spent chasing a QB, or if they can spend every single draft pick on the Offensive line. After the Bye, Cam will have been in this offense a good amount of time. He plays well, he's back until at least 2024. He doesn't and there's a very real chance that this team mortgages the future for a QB, and is still left with a weak O-line.
  18. How in the world was he celebrating an incompletion, down 20, after being beaten like a drum for the better part of a month. You want to do the incomplete celebration, try breaking up a pass before being down 20 in the fourth quarter with three minutes left.
  19. Would be shocked if he calls another play for the Panthers after this game. He could have a very good future, but he's just not ready to be a coordinator at the NFL level. He'll probably end up somewhere like Alabama, learn under Saban, and be a long-time head coach in the SEC in a few years.
  20. Yep, this sucks, but thank you all for going through this poo-show together. At least we're not suffering through this alone. I appreciate it.
  21. They've been a team since I was 8 years old. So I've been a fan for 76% of my life. I know it's going to happen and every year it is still excruciating waiting for a new season to start. And then the season starts, things go south at some point, and its excruciating waiting for the offseason/draft to see if the team can get things fixed. And then it all happens again. I'll never regret a single second of being a fan. I've gotten to follow and cheer for some amazing players. But damn, I just want one year that ends with a shiny football trophy being lifted up in the air. Just one.
  22. The Panthers cycle is pretty much never ending. Team plays well-->Get Hopes Up-->Team gets exposed-->Monday comes and I get excited that they can put it all together again-->Stay excited all week-->Get let down again
  23. Exactly, the best way to ensure that he is a head coach in the NFL next year is to get Brady out of here. The Giants figured it out last week, let's see if Rhule figures it out this week.
