The meltdown hasn't even started. Just wait till like 5 minutes left in the fourth. They will do something stupid. Only question is if the refs bail them out. They've missed a half dozen important calls today.

The Chargers are the only team that I could see a 27-0 score on and believe that the final would be something like 31-30 at the end of the game.

I've seen enough Chargers games to know their coach is about to go on an absolute tear of bad/inexcusable decisions. Would not be the slightest bit surprised if the Jaguars have the ball with a chance to take the lead at some point in the 4th.

Bummer that the Rams couldn't finish the job. Lions would have been fun in the playoffs. Seahawks, not so much.

At least we aren't the Texans.

STEVE WILKS - FINAL POLL THREAD
jopie87 replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
Got very close to an A grade. Last week, especially the 4th quarter last week was enough to not want him back. Any amount of aggressive calls last week and the team would be hosting a game next week. He coached timid, lost the game, lost the season, lost the job. -
Would set them back a decade. Dude is a brilliant coach, would take him in a second.

Someone find a picture of Jim flipping burgers and send to Tepper ASAP.

24 hours-ish ago I was pissed about the result of a sporting event that is played for entertainment purposes. Wins, losses, stats, none of it matters. I just want Hamlin to be okay. Real life makes everything else that happens between the lines inconsequential.

I think Ben Johnson would get better results out of Sam. I think Steichen gets better results from a dynamic rookie. I prefer Ben Johnson but would be happy with either.

Bears are going to get an entire rebuild for one pick. I hope it's not from us.

Can Sam Darnold play himself into becoming the 2023 starter?

Absolutely. Where is the next Wesley Walls. Where is the next Olsen. Team needs this element so bad. -

Sam or Matt are who I think start next year. Need to spend money elsewhere. -
Big time players show up in big time games

Bosa just showed how big of a gap there is between him and Burns. Game on the line, drives the OT back into the QB. Interception. Game. 49ers win. Burns isn't doing that or anything close. -
Next week's game is going to be like the Little League World Series episode of South Park. Neither team benefits at all from winning.

Especially when QB sneak with a mountain of bodies pushing from behind is about as automatic as it has ever been. Punting on 4th and inches from midfield is just bad football.

The letdown is disappointing but it's good for the future

Crap teams with young QBs already is who I hope will be picking at the top. Houston is taking a QB this year, without question. If that QB shows promise and they still suck, they're not going to double up on QB next year. Same reason the Bears won't go QB this year. -

Is he processing slow, or is the offense that he runs dependent on chunk plays? If it's the processing speed, that is a huge problem because his arm talent would be top 10 in the NFL today. -

Run it back with Sam next year and draft Quentin Johnston. If the team sucks next year, trade everything you have for Caleb Williams. -
Bradberry coming back would have elevated the entire team this year. Sucks that he didn't come home.

Not being close enough to commit pass interference on any of those plays was embarrassing. If you're gonna get your ass beat, at least tackle the dude before the ball gets there so he can't walk in for a TD.

I legit don't get it. Is it a pain tolerance thing? Is it because he's young and doesn't want to risk it?

Not trading him for, allegedly, multiple firsts was a huge mistake. He is a fun, young, exciting player who doesn't impact games in the way that elite players do. Comparing what he did this week to what the last legs of JJ Watt did last week is very telling.
