I am shocked that McVay didnt try to end the game there. A screen to Puka, something. They could have won the game with one play and valued 2 to 3 seconds of clock over potentially calling game.

The one concern I had watching him at USC is that he worked best playing playground ball and was not good in structure. Hes gotten a lot better.

Teams continuing to have 0 time outs at the end of halfs is baffling. Either they blow em or they needlessly take them into the half. There's like a handful of coaches who understand clock management.

All I know is there are some damn good coaches that former players vocally hate (Flores). Being a good leader can be the difference between a team fighting and a team that wants the season to end and to be rid of you.
