Dude has been so impressive this year. That team had no business winning any games this year. They found a gem.
-
Only way they get a Cinderella story is if the NFL carries him to it like they did for Peyton. I don't see it happening, I think the NFL goes all in on getting the Patriots and Bucs, no matter how much fudgery it takes.

Panthers this year, despite the roster issues, would have been a playoff team with Tomlin. Some coaches know how to win, others get hired for 7 years and like 70 million by the Panthers.
-
Send him to the Saints for a pick or two. If Payton can turn him around he is the best coach of all time.

Could have had Minshew for a fourth. Could have had any number of rookies, including Davis Mills who is on an impossibly bad Texans team and looks better than Sam ever has. Could have played Sam in the preseason more, realized we were f'd and gotten a veteran in way earlier. They did literally everything wrong. And the owner is sitting back and saying 'let's roll it back next year.' There's been like 5 or 6 good years in franchise history, which sucks, but I've never felt like we were the worst run team in the NFL until this year. Not when being coached by the ghost of 49ers past, not when Pickles was putting up 3 points a game, it took being swindled by a used Pinto salesman masquerading as a head coach to hit rock bottom.

Matt Rhule is a bad coach and worse person. Dude must have a God complex that is unheard of. His guys can do no wrong, because they are his guys, and how could he possibly ever be wrong.

Lose baby lose. Seasons over get that high pick.
-
Of course they would. There would be a running clock by halftime to get it over with quicker. Take the best 100 players in college and they would get absolutely demolished by any team in the NFL.

I'm willing to give Sam one more year if the team fixes the O-line

I don't follow college football enough to know if a tank next year is worth it or not. -
The first month of the season feels like it was a decade ago. The Cam MVP season feels like a lifetime ago. I miss that season.

Rhule: "I haven't done a good enough job..."
jopie87 replied to MechaZain's topic in Carolina Panthers
He believes "its working" WTF IS "Its" in this sentence? Losing the fanbase? Losing the locker room? Making like 10 million a year? -
It's Rhule, he will blame Christmas

If Brady drops 60 and gets rhule fired, I'll acknowledge him as the goat

Sam Darnold likely starting again for last few games

I guess all that can be said is that they want no chance at picking up another win so that they end up around 5th in draft order. Live look at Matt Rhule and David Tepper celebrating their brilliance. -

"JOBS" - End Pitch That's always the pitch. -
I thought the same thing before I saw that Rhule would have to go on the coaching streak of his life to get to the record Nagy has now.
-
I was going to make a thread about this but decided against it. There is a very real argument that you could replace Rhule with any of the other 31 head coaches in this league and the record would improve. I think the one only one that could be a good debate is Chicago's coach.

If we tear it all down again how long would it take...

I'll take that too, I just want volume in later rounds. -

Get a good caoch, use every pick on the offensive line, including trading back where possible, and bring in at least 1 good free agent so that you come to training camp with 8 to 10 new offensive linemen. Moton at tackle. Brady and Deonte fighting with the new hires for the other 4 spots, and turn it around fast. The defense has great pieces to coach up. The offense has some good skill pieces. A new coach that builds up the line, uses CMC out of the backfield less, and has the QB just manage the game can win next year. The offensive line and the coaching staff are the problem, fix those and win next year. Tom can't play forever, Matt Ryan can't play forever, with a new coach, why can't it be us next. -

That 4th down call, this isn't college. Why the hell was the call a read double option and not "run the best short yardage Qb of all time up the middle" when you only need a damn yard.
