  1. It would be interesting to see if it goes that far. I think Watson will still be an sought after talent in a trade, but a 27 y/o QB who hasnt played in a whole year.... wont get as much traction as a 26 y/o QB coming off a top 3 season .... Teams will use that against the Texans.
  2. bc you know where the draft pick lies with the team that you trade with now. For instance, post draft... the dolphins are not going to have 2 1st round picks and Tua to offer. They are going to go into the season with Tua and two new players they got out of the first round. Whatever team they trade with post draft is going to be a crapshoot on where they land in the draft. At least right now, they can pick where Watson goes, and know what kind of pick value they get in return.
  3. People on here talking about trading for Gardner Minshew must not have watched him play... Best place to find out about a player is from the fanbase. The comments are extremely informative. He just isnt that good. He decision making skills were less than subpar. He is small and doesnt have the arm strength to take the team to the next level. I recall watching him on redzone a couple of times and thinking to myself... well that Gardner magic is gone. Time to fade to black. He was missing wide open targets and looking off good throws.
  4. A different quarterback is a better quarterback.... thats what this entire thread is about. TB5 is not the right qv for the Panthers franchise.
  5. You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.yardbarker.com/nfl/articles/amp/russ_to_montana_more_the_best_third_round_picks_in_nfl_history/s1__31733294
  6. We should know immediately.... essentially we bought a 3rd rounder.
  7. If it scores us a third round pick, does it matter?
  8. ESPN's John Keim reports Teddy Bridgewater "could make sense" as Washington's QB in 2021.
  9. I thought about this earlier today.... Russell Wilson to the Saints would put us in a very difficult position. We would HAVE to land Watson, or we will be meddling for awhile. Unless the thought that wilson being over the hill is not far away carries some weight.
  10. Dude exactly! I’ve been saying on here all season!! We need to extend teddy... the real problem is our receivers! Preeech bro!
  11. ill miss him.... when i try to remember the 2020 roster 2-7 years from now
  12. Depends on waht Darnold could go for, right? He had statistically bad season last year... If we were to trade for him with say a 4th round pick, we could then flip him in the Watson deal, if they truly are griping about TB5.... At the end of the day.... I dont think Texans are looking for anything more than a bridge QB at the moment. Trevor Lawrence is really the only certainty in this draft this year.
  13. so ball control isnt everything then, right? I mean you did just say that ball control was everything.... but it appears winning teams dont give a poo about ball control. Score Fast, Win Fast.
  14. https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/average-time-of-possession-net-of-ot 50% of the teams in the playoffs this year were in the bottom half of the league when it came to t.o.p... the teams in the super bowl were in the bottom half as well, and the sb champs were in the bottom quarter....
  15. It's obvious the Texans dont want to win this year. They are going into a total reset and Casserio is loving it. All he has to do is get a poo load of capital for next year and he is in the running for the nation's best next year. Look at their staffing hires... it screams one year rental.
  16. Depends if Watson liked him or not when they played together in Houston. Coming around to the Watson hype train eh @Mr. Scot? haha
