People forget how good Cam looked in Preseason
TheCasillas replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Really cool to see. Thank you OP for sharing. I am tempering my excitement bc the defenses you see in pre-season vs in season are wildly different. Thank you for the post. -

Your reaction in Gifs when Cam comes through tunnel

As Cam would say "hindsight 50/50" ... at the time Rhule/Fitt/Brady all thought they could coach up Darnold and put him in a situation where he didnt have to be the focal point of the offense. Knowing we had plenty of cap space, and the potential of SD becoming great would cost less by taking up his option as opposed to lettting him go to FA. Worst case scenario it is a 1 year sunk cost, and not many years (like Nick Foles and Jared Goff). The reward was higher than the risk. That's a business decision, not ego. The way you are stating things sounds like Rhule is sitting on a throne and whining to get his way. That's not how a franchise is run, and its defintely not how a Tepper owned franchise is run. This exact topic came up on Keyshawn, Will and Max show. They all 3 stated the same thing I just shared above. It was a short term low risk, high reward move. In this case, the risk didnt pay off.

Stats may not be there but his presence is. He is a major cog in our number 2 ranked pass defense

Tracking Games this week and playoff push
TheCasillas replied to 95Panthers4Ever's topic in Carolina Panthers
Tough thing is that the Eagles are a trending team right now. Jalen Hurts is balling. They have re-stablished their identity. No one in the league is running the ball as often as they are at this point in the season. I agree with you. We do need the Saints to win. That Eagles defense is not a joke. -
Tracking Games this week and playoff push

We just need Philly to tie with the Aints -
Believing that a kid can turn it around is not an ego move. Mentorship and people development should never be considered egostistical. Rhule (like many others) thought he could coach Darnold to be better. They looked at the Jets situation and hoped that it was poor management and lack of player development. Sam is just too far gone.

Zane > Slye all day. I was just sharing that he hasnt been missing kicks, so lets not expect him to this weekend, unless he gets the yips in BoA.

not of recent... Slye has actually been a decent kicker.

Panthers release depth chart vs WFT
TheCasillas replied to TLGPanthersFan's topic in Carolina Panthers
cant believe chandler is starting over burris and melvin over keith taylor. This weekend isnt even worth watching at this point. Pass. /s -
This is directly from the transcipt from the presser. She did leave out words. That answer was worth celebrating in and of itself, as much as his first touchdown. After that one, he took off his helmet, yelled "I'm back," and earned an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. Newton said he promised head coach Matt Rhule he wouldn't repeat that, learning the lesson from being on the couch last Sunday. Newton said: "So I told coach Rhule that would never happen again, that was on me."

This thread right now^ I don't understand why people are so anxious to hate each other. We should be uniting over our fandom, and not finding reasons to chastise someone.

I agree on the misinformation. it's Sheena trying to get clout. Jonathan Jones tweeted the exact same thing first (which I think Sheena just copied him). As for Urban, I guess that is interpeted by the person using it. In my mind urban/metro/mainstream are synonomous. I've lived in center cities all of my life (NY, DC, CHI, SF, and now CLT) and that's how I interpet that defintion. As for how it is being used as a cover up.. I can't speak nor align with it, bc I have a different purview.
-
Why are you in this thread instigating? We are all here to discuss and share excitement for the Panthers. Stop trying to pick fights. and "urban pop culture" checks out. It's an accurate statement. Source.

The tweet is misleading (typical media). Sheena left out the part where Cam said "I got it" ... he was agreeing with Coach Rhule, and saying "my bad.... never again"

You are incorrect, WFT has the top rushing win rate o-line in the league and 4th passing blocking win rate in the league...... https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/32176833/2021-nfl-pass-rushing-run-stopping-blocking-leaderboard-win-rate-rankings This is as of 10:37a this morning.

This is the best offensive line in the NFL we are about to go up against. We will need our entire front 7 to show up in this match up. This will be our defense's toughest trench battle of the year.

Way too early look at ‘22 Offseason
TheCasillas replied to Santee_Panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Not if we trade him before the season starts -
anyone know why OBJ is not on the field? Just got a chance to turn te game on. Nevermind, Eli and Peyton just answered this.

should have never been against him. What he has turned this franchise into in less than a year of a true rebuild is impressive.
