What’s your pitch to Aaron Rodgers to come to Carolina
TheCasillas replied to Leotiger's topic in Carolina Panthers
I agree. I personally like Aaron Rodgers. However, after seeing how social media is treating him today, I just think he would bring a lot of distraction. -

His cap and personality would be a lot to take on. Plus we arent the type of desitination he would want to land anyways -
I dont even recall having conversations with you, thats how minimal of an impact you make on my CH experience. It appears I have somehow found a place to stay in your head. So feel free to worry about me, but I will continue to have constructive conversations with adults, rather than particpate in your child like accusations and erratic behavior.

Dude, first you need to relax. Every post you have that is toward me is so animated and infused with a frustrated tone. Second, Marcel Dareus said in an interview that he was looking forward to playing us because RR told him he was going to be a panther during the combine. MD said that he put that date on the calendar to prove that we should have picked him over Cam. This was in 2013 when we lost 23-24 with EJ Manuel at QB. Lastly, the article you linked states a sentence that RR believed he could be a capable #1 overall pick. If you go through all of the pre-draft resources you'll see that RR was torn between gabbert and newton at #1 and were considering going to go MD as the safe pick if they couldnt commit.... MH is the one who said "Cam is our guy" and there is plenty you can see in articles if you just google "Marty Hurney Cam Newton Draft 2011" But here is an article of MH going main stream media to defend Cam explicitly.

Things couldn’t have set up better for Tepper and Rhule
TheCasillas replied to mcsmoak's topic in Carolina Panthers
Pittsburgh wont go after another older QB that could retire soon, they arent in that kind of window currently as a franchise. They have already said that Mason Rudolph wil be the starter next year. Personally I think they should go after Kirk. Denver is the favorite because Aaron wants to live there as well, and their roster is in a win now windows. They will be the Bucs of 2020 of the AFC. Indy is possible but Id expect Jimmy G, Kirk or Russ to be there before Aaron. WFT is going to trade up or trade for JG/RW. Miami's owner came out and said they are committing to Tua. So they will no longer be in the trade discussions, but of course this could change with the new HC. Tua was one of the most accurate QBs in the league last year, with one of the worst olines. So there is promise stilll with him, and miami fans still like him. -

fair point, but I really dont think we have seen Baker's ceiling. That coaching staff has put him in a situation where success is forced. I think Baker has much to show still. You cant use this last season, because the dude was playing at 45% health. -

One is a higher risk than the other. Baker has proven he can win in the NFL (with a mediocre franchise). Howell is unproven. Baker's next contract will be extrememly manageable. He isnt going to big money. Id expect him to get a Goff type of contract but less franchise crippling. -

I dont know. I really do see Rodgers ending up in Denver. The packers have to go into rebuilding mode this offseason, and A-Rod doesnt want to be apart of that. I expect Den to throw a couple firsts and mid round picks to land A-Rod this offseason. Saint are probbaly going to go big on Russ. Sean Payton is threatening to leave them, and if they want to retain him, they will need to get him a a capable QB. Otherwise, that franchise will be heading into a full on rebuild. The Carr piece is interesting, because I never understood why they would want to move on from him. However, it will be a new regime with Carr's 3rd GM and HC.... they didnt pick him, so there is always that possibility they will want their own guy. Especially if Harbaugh comes in. Id expect them to move on from DC if that is the case. -

Darnold was hope, not rationale. Even Joe Brady said he didnt even watch film on the kid because he wanted to start with a blank slate. Which in hindsight was foolish. The QBs that are available this offseason though, thats a different story. They are franchise gamers. The cardinals went back to back season of drafting QBs to find their fit. We shouldnt rule that out since the first trade didnt work. I just think we bring in more scouts to help this time, or even ask Ben his opinion. -

I've read 2nd round picks would get the deal done, and that Derek Carr would be the more attractive candidate this offseason. Whats wild is that the following QBs can be acquired this offseason: 1. Aaron Rodgers 2. Russell Wilson 3. Kirk Cousins 4. Baker Mayfield 5. Jimmy G 6. Derek Carr 7. Deshaun Watson* We have never seen this many QBs on the block in a single offseason. Its crazy. There are no shortcut quarterbacks we can acquire from another team to bypass that. - @frankw See above. -

First 3 years with Baker: 24 wins First 2 years with Burrow: 16 wins They dont seem far off... they actually seem identical -

Im not sure where you are going here. All I called out is that a rebuild doesnt start when you want it to and end when you say. The Bengals have been in rebuild mode since 2015. It had taken them almost 7 years to become relevant again. There is no denying or changing that. -

Not a selective narrative, the Browns were the one of the latest teams to draft a QB #1 in the league. It is one of the most immediate comparisons to the Bengals situation. It's also worth noting the Browns are already considering moving on from baker, which further supports the point that a rebuild doesnt start and end with a #1 pick QB. -

Bengals have picked in the top 10 every year since the end of the 2015 season.... Those early picks are part of their roster and rebuild. Selecting #1 doesnt mean you have started and ended your rebuild. If thats the case, whats up with the browns? Bengals lucked out and had the top pick in the right draft. Browns sucked on purpose and landed the top pick in Baker... how has that turned out? Its a crap shoot.... so yes it is that difficult. -

It took the bengals 30 years... the only thing they changed over the last 3 years is the HC. They've had the same GM for over a decade. -
He will end up in Denver. Mark my words.

Aaron Rodgers rumor mill activated

It’s because the pass rushers prototype have changed as well. You know have guys who are faster than running backs playing defensive end and outside linebacker. we are in a pass happy league where speed wins
-
I am having understanding why Trey lance hasn’t seen the field for any gimmick packages. Especially that 4th and 1 and no power back on the active roster

It had everything to do with the end of the game. Every single play had something to do with the end of the game.
