  1. Yeha I figured the same. I feel like if Friday comes out with the best possible scenario for Watson, then phone calls and articles willl be endless
  2. Just curious. Not indicting or stirring the pot. if Watson were to land here and do a bunch of community work along with going on an actionable apology tour for his actions…. would you consider forgiving him?
  3. Eta? Haha I’m wondering when the league sees this ending …
  4. I’d like to think teams like Minnesota, Seattle and Washington are in on the Watson situation as well…. But with all of these trades and huge free agent acquisitions …. You hear one thing after they get done “this deal has been in the workings for months” and that’s what’s going on with us and Houston.
  5. good luck. Ten women filed criminal complaints against Watson, and three allege sexual assault or attempted sexual assault. It is unclear how many the Houston DA plans to present to the grand jury, but legal scholars seem to believe the proceeding will be more likely than not to result in criminal charges. Then, either a trial or plea agreement will follow. It is an ominous legal development for the 26-year-old. Despite now a year-plus of endless trade chatter, Watson's NFL saga is no closer to resolution than it was in 2021. His legal saga could be just beginning.
  6. would we though? That's like saying we should be wearing egg on our face for Herbert, Tua, or Josh Allen. All bc we didnt trade up to get them.
  7. them jumping us is a good thing though. Bc that puts us in a prime spot to get a top 5 talent or even trade back with someone who wants it. These are good events happening around us.
  8. im sure the agent would argue that case. If he wins or not.... thats TBD
  9. I expect this to be the range for DJ. However, its fair to point out that Mike Williams has 27 TDs in his name, and DJ has 14. I am sure those play a role in the contract negotiations.
  10. Its fair to assume that Watson deal would command something similiar. Wonder what our package would look like IF his problems are solved.
  11. well they whiffed on QB draft picks... which hurts badly.
  12. reads like an assumption, but i wouldnt be surprised if we were invovled. Would have been baffling if the SEA traded within the conference.
  13. Saints will probbaly find way to land Teddy
  14. Might want to check that again, it was posted on here in the Ian Thomas contract thread that he is one of the better blocking TEs in the league. Also, Ian's contract is smaller in gauranteed money than Manhertz. Look at the OP screenshot. Manhertz was gauranteed 4.25million, and Ian is only gauranteed 3mil.
  15. Manhertz got signed for the same amount last year, and he was utilized in the same way as Ian. Blocking TEs are a hot commodity in the NFL. Weird with the way the league is evolving.
  16. https://theathletic.com/3165098/2022/03/06/what-we-learned-in-indy-panthers-plan-for-o-line-robby-anderson-talk-frankie-luvus-role-and-more/ From the same article @Mr. Scotposted in a neighboring thread…. The Athletic's Joseph Person said the Panthers were "impressed" by Cincinnati QB Desmond Ridder at the NFL Combine. Carolina coaches were impressed by Ridder's speed (4.52 40 yard dash) and "his makeup and professionalism during their meeting," per Person. "That’s not to say the Panthers would take him at No. 6, but it’s worth keeping an eye on Ridder as the pre-draft process continues." The Panthers are locked in quarterback purgatory, owing Sam Darnold a whopping $18.85 million in 2022, a year after he proved to be backup material at best. The dual-threat Ridder could have a legit chance to start if the Panthers drafted him and Darnold once again struggled. He's widely expected to be a second-round pick.
  17. Considering we have few options, we have a lot of options. Going to be interesting how all of the pieces fall.
