Food for thought @LinvilleGorge - the Texans probably wont let Watson choose a single team. At that point, if Watson selects one team, then that team can reduce their offer. They would have leverage at that point. I think this is a fluid situation, and all parties have an agreed structure to how this will go.

bottom of the barrel signing ... id only go after him if we lost out on the other options...

One last piece of optimism... I get that we all hate Rhule... and want him fired.. But.... The players in that locker room respect him and speak highly of him in public light. It's very well possible he is a good people person, and a bad PR person. If he can win over players while losing, then he can win over Watson in a meeting. Recruiting was his thing in college.

I mean a spin of optimism here.... if Tepper is able to convince people to give him millions of dollars.... then I think he'd be able to convince a professional football player to join his team... This will be his first run at recruiting a player... so it will be interesting to see how it plays out. In all honesty, the saints have to be better sales people than us. They have to spell out future plans with liimited cap space, and an o line that would be traded away. They'd also have to share why Payton and Brees left in back to back years, how they are gonna fix their rundown stadium, and wtf is going on with Michael .... We havent had any public shaming by anyone at or from the franchise. We also havent had anyone leave in dissaray. Our former panthers still frequent our stadium and speak highly about us in public spotlight.... Lastly, secret weapon.... Jaycee Horn's father.... Joe Horn....

@Panthercougar68Im wondering if the franchise treats it like a true recruitment pitch. They fly to him or fly him in and have key players in the meeting and have him spend time with former panthers (luke, greg, cam, ryan etc) and then Tepper/Samir/SCott sit down with Watson and give him the run through of plans and intentions. They willl most likely review: 1. 2022 FA approach 2. 2023 FA approach 3. The new offensive gameplan 4. forward looking staffing My standing question is "Will deshaun waive it for multiple teams?"

It’s respect for the GOAT. Hate it all you want, these professionals respect each other.
