so ... i just went down a twitter hole during my last meeting. One of the twitter accounts I posted earlier in this thread posted that Tepper and crew were not going to be in the stadium before Joe Person did.... He stated that the panthers were meeting with Watson today last night... and now he just tweeted that Watson agreed to the NTC for the panthers. It's our boy Johnny Bets. Some entertainment at the least. If interested, I will post links for us to time check. For those who want to complain about sources, I get it. Just ignore this post.

IF we land a trade for Watson, we would have about 24milion to spend in FA... now if Watson restructures his deal, we can get upwards of 44 million total in FA. This has been broken down in this thread if you want more details, but hopefully this helps.

I mean, yes. However, I'd think Tepper would advise Scott to go after Teron Armstead to absolutely fug the Saints for going in on Watson. If Armstead signs elsewhere than the saints have to eat 3 years of void years for armstead... that would cost them 20million total in cap. We would be cash strapping them for years to come.

that would be a good backup plan for us. Baker can most likely be had for a conditional 3rd because of the browns vocality around trading him. They reduced his value.

Panthers are officially 35 million over the cap with the recent moves. If Darnold is included in the deal and we collect on the 6.1 bonuses from Fox. We will be just under 60 million under the cap. That does not include Watson's cost. Atm D4 would cost 35 million and leave us 25million. However, if he is restructured at time of trade.... get your popcorn...

This whole thing by the saints is a desperate move by Loomis to save his job. He is fuged if they dont land Watson.
