yeah, them getting involved was a rough move by the owner of the Browns. You could argue this has a bigger impact on them than it does for us. They just showed the league how they treat their QBs.

this is the right move for the franchise. I'd say make one move for Derek Carr and use 6 on a LT, but if we cant land Carr for a reasonable price.... then go sign Cam and draft Malik. It will re-energize the fanbase.

Terry Pegula made similiar mistake when he bought the bills.. His first coach hire was Rex Ryan. Everyone in the whole league knew that Rex Ryan was a poo show and clown and yet he still hired him. Terry had to learn the hard way. Bills fans were shitting all over Terry during this period... worst owner in the league was defintely thrown around. Also, he as mentioned as someone who didnt give a poo about the franchise. Bills were a joke during that period of time.... After about 5 years of ownership (3 different head coaches), Terry figured it out. not defending tepper, but im trying limit the pitchforks right now, because this isnt new to the NFL.

The Rhule thing will most likely turn out to be a mistake. However, it's not often that new owner hits on their first coach hiring. However, he is an NFL owner so his feet will always be held to the fire.

Blaming Tepper for trying his hardest to getting a premier QB on his roster.... that is ridiculous. Are we saying we would have rather had an owner just sit back and watch? Tepper put his name and rep on the line to chase a QB to build a championship franchise. It backfired, but its not like he did this just so he could say he did.

its not done yet, but we honestly should find the silver lining here. There really is one... this roster is young and full of talent. We can leverage that, get a QB this draft (opr go after someone like Carr) and build on that. We arent far from competing. We are depleted of talent like the lions or jets.

If landing deshaun watson was the determining factor for us to be a successful football team, then the NFL is in an interesting place right now... Deshaun Watson is a talented QB, but he isnt the only one, and they way the league transforms after every draft, you cant rule anything out. Right now our roster is in the best shape it has been since 2017 (as long as key players stay healthy). The biggest holes are LT and QB, which can be filled via the draft, FA or trade. I think we wait for that to happen, before we start digging a hole to burry ourselves in.
