Watch the game … you will see. It was a very sloppy football game.

Pimp, as I shared in this thread. 2 of the 3 plays we called in the Redzone were passing plays. The first one was a bobbled snap that would have had both Shi and CMC in isolation situations. The second play was a run play. The third play was a RPO with DJ (tripled team) as the first option and handoff to CMC second option. We didn’t just roll over.

I agree with @WOW!!- I watched the titians and giants game as well. It was really bad play call after bad play call by each team. Both defenses were very suspect. Titans might be in for a long season. I can see Vrabel seat getting hot.

The plays called on the field were exactly what I just shared. I’m not sure what else I can do or say here. sure that’s what he said, but 2 of the 3 plays were pass plays. If you have anyway of replaying the game, you will see that for yourself as well.

We are tied for 8th best record in the NFC.

Whatever you want to call it, call it. I call it momentum. Hopefully we carry that into NY.

We didn’t play scared tho… it was a pass play on the fumbled snap. Run play on the second down and then a lb RPO with DJ first option and CMC second option. You can see it if you can go back and watch those 3 plays.
-
We scored on 3 of our last 4 drives…. If we carry that into NYG and continue to score, what else would you call that?
-
First half, no we didn’t. Second half, we looked very competent. Need to carry the momentum into NY

I have watched a replay of the game twice now (thanks NFL+) and man….. we had 2 pass plays drawn up there at the end before the field goal. That damn bobbled snap…. We would have had both shi open and CMC 1v1 against the safety. Damn it. the 3rd down we had an RPO drawn up but the browns triple teamed Moore.

Charlotte Observer ‘Panthers reverting to losing form

posted yesterday by @ladypantherI believe. Its an opp ed. I think we have enough here that doesnt need to be validated by a no name media type. -
yeah, i brought this up to the guy that works with the agency. Mentioned that hospital balls should be included. He mentioned they want the NFL to get to a point where they are measuring stats to success levels like baseball and basketball. It will be interesting to see how this lands. In all honesty, FD probably just wants the %s to manage their book better.
-
yeah, and Baker probably should have handed off a bit more. However, I get it... he wanted to pick apart the browns... the story just didnt end that way. In the 2nd half, baker chose to give the ball to the backs more frequently. We actually went away from the RPO for a drive or two in the third.

what? The title of this thread is "Rhule on QB struggles yesterday" and then the tweet "Matt Rhule: “We are talking about playing with a quarterback who has been here 30 to 40 days” Rhule wasnt talking about Baker struggling, he was stating that he thought Baker did well for being here for such a short period of time. I have no idea what you are attempting to state here.. this whole thing is misleading.
-
they only gave elf 1 error and the 4 to Baker.
-
They ran a RPO QB led offense. Baker made the decisions on whether we passed or ran the ball yesterday.
-
lol. The tweet of quoting Rhule was complimenting Baker for picking up the playbook so fast within a 30-40 day period. Rhule wasnt saying Baker was a problem. That is the context I am referring to. Media types get to state whatever they want and do not get held accountable. Its pretty ridiculous.

I am actually working in partnership with an agency that partners with Fanduel (on another project) but I found out they are working with the NFL to build a new stat: WR-INT. They are designing an algorythm that would identify if the WR is respoinsible for the INT rather than the QB. Last that I saw they were still defining the rule set. They are also working on a statistic called "clutch" for skill players. Basically using a % to define whether they caught the ball or did not catch the ball within the 2min warning and on 3rd/4th downs. Which reminds me, I need to see where they are at with that.
-
I think they go off of how the NFL records a stat. Apparently 4 of the 5 bad snaps were given to Baker and only one to Elfein. Which makes me wonder what the rule is for a bad snap...

it rained all morning. I live 5 minutes from the stadium and couldnt mow my lawn because of the rain. It stopped around 1030a.

Baker didnt struggle yesterday due to a playbook though... he struggled bc the Browns knew to stand up at the line, and we couldnt stop Garrett. We also had 2 costly penalties that killed drives. The competiton didnt effect whether Baker was here for 40 days or 1 day. Baker has been here since he was traded for.
