Giants: The Previous Game is Under Review
TheCasillas replied to TheCasillas's topic in Carolina Panthers
i think the one piece that gives me confidence is that its not a Joe Brady and Darnold led offense without CMC and a shitty oline. It's a McAdoo/Baker led offense with CMC , an above average oline and a poo load of weapons. Sounds like Visk will be playing, which most know I am excited about. -

Athletic really needs to fix their site. Im a subscriber but I can't view any articles. It logs me out as soon as I click an article to read. Very annoying. -

Giants: The Previous Game is Under Review

yea we moved him all around the line. We had him as a stand up backer and a pure end rusher. The Browns slid protection his way the majority of the time. There was one play where they actually tripled team Burns. Looked like they were setting up for a deep shot but Brissett threw it to a short out. -
Woof @Mr. Scot Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said offensive coordinator Kellen Moore "has to be smarter" with play calling. It's not often a head coach will speak so bluntly about his displeasure with a play caller, but after one horrible week in Dallas, McCarthy is leveling public criticism of his offensive coordinator. Losing Dak Prescott (thumb) for at least a month isn't going to make Moore's job any easier, as Cooper Rush will serve as the team's quarterback. The Cowboys offense had the NFL's lowest expected points added (EPA) per play in Week 1. Moore's job -- and maybe McCarthy's -- could be in question if Dallas gets off to a bad start to the season.

Next week's breakdown I will include defense.

lol what a whiff by BC. I will say after seeing Ickey's first step off the line against a speed rush like this, I feel pretty good. Aside of those two sacks by MG (one was due to tremble launching MG past Ickey), Ickey didnt allow the speed rush to work the rest of the way. We shal see though. -
yeah, both are at fault for sure. It sounds like the venture was a failure from the start.

It depends on how healthy he is. I think they would ease him in coming off that knee injury. Probably a snap count of 10-15 maybe 20. It would be situational. Any time a player of his capability is on the field, things can change. -
Not defending Tepper, I am just providing insight to why he isnt the contract asshole, and the Browns are. in the neighboring thread it talks about how the politician in rock hill made empty promises and went against his advisors on the deal. They used money they didnt have to support the buidl. I dont think its a one way street, both parties were at fault. If it was all Tepper's doing and fault, then his legal team would be giving in and settling. These legal dick measuring contest are always ridiculous in this realm of work.
-
Tepper said no to the contract. Thats why Watson didnt come here. That was reported widely by our media coverage group. Tepper said he wouldnt gaurantee all 4 years and he wouldnt pay Watson over suspension either. As for the lawsuits, those are just bullshit lawsuits to drive up settlement payouts. They arent going to win the case, and now that the Panthers have removed the settlement offer, I expect there to be a bundle more lawsuits to apply more pressure and string out the timeline. Its just a bunch lawyer tom foolery by both sides.
-
I recall Person saying that, but it was later revealed in a repot that Mr Scott shared that it came from an agent not an NFL exec. I dont think anyone in the NFL gives a poo what Charlotte and Tepper have partnered up on with bringing entertainment to the city and a new soccer franchise. If anyone thinks those impacted how our football team has been managed, I have some news Tepper isnt running the day to day of this football operation. There are poo owners in this league... and certain franchises are under fire by the league right now... Commanders, Browns (for THE contract), Jags (obvious reasons) and Raiders (racism/targeting scandal). I dont think we anywhere close to being under that microscope. We also forget there 4 owners in this league that have b een sued/investigated for others issues as well... such as : Hiding revenue, avoid property taxes, refuses to pay back loans, and the truck stop scam.
-
In all honesty as much as we here call Tepper a failure and say he is the worst owner in the NFL (btw majority of fan bases say this about their owner if they are not winning) I dont think he or people around him the league see him as a failing owner. I doubt he is humbled, maybe stressed bc we dont have a winning product on the field, but not humbled. I dont even know if an NFL owner can be humbled... that just seems like an oxymoron.

Dude, Miles Garrett is just a freak of nature. No one that big should be able to move the way he does.

Would you be pleased if we hired Byron Leftwich??
TheCasillas replied to micnificent28's topic in Carolina Panthers
The buccaneers have a ton of ambiguity this year with all of their injuries. This year will let us know if Leftwich has been successful due to talent or due to his coaching. Too early to tell, but at the rate the bucs are losing players this will be the year to see if he is capable. -
I recall Cam throwing down and into the back of lineman countless times, but then the passes that just got through were unbelievable throws.

I counted 3 plays that were for CMC but we botched the snap in the first half alone. That to me is a big game changer for us.
-
MG doesnt make the tackle, matter of fact he doesnt even touch CMC and we gain 4 yards on the play before tackled by Taven Bryan. It wasnt a blown assignment, MG just swim moved right past Ian. Ian knew who he was supposed to block but got man handled.
-
if you watch the all22 Ian is shoved in the back by the safety and falls into DJ. This is just half second perfect screenshot to make it look like they are blocking each other.
