  1. I dont why my opinion matters so much to you. Ive always thought you and I have gotten along well here on the huddle, but it appears I have triggered somehow and I do apologize. I try to use data as much as possibe for many of my conversations here. Seifert is someone not only statisitcally was bad here, but ruined my childhood fandom as well. So there is a mix here.
  2. I told you when I would admit that earlier in our conversation. Nothing has changed since I have stated that.
  3. he definitely will. He tried going his route last year, and this year he will most likely get outside support or go the route of hiring someone experienced. I can only imagine that Dan Quinn will be at the top of the list of candidates, and deservedly so.
  4. Why did you come at me stating you had stats to prove that 2010 and 2022 were worse than 2001? When now your comment is basicaly is just conjecture? I dont understand the premise of doing that.....
  5. I dont want to ship out DJ, I understand the idea of it and wouldn't be butt hurt about it. However, if you get a true #1 beside him... it would be quite the compliment in production for our offense.
  6. oh this will be fun.... please show me stats that showed that we were better in 2001.... I will even provide you a link to the NFL stats for that year provided by NFL.com. I have put the rankings below. 2001 Pass defense: 28th out of 31 Rush defense: 31st out of 31 Pass offense: 27th out of 31 Rush offense: 29th out of 31 2010 Pass defense: 21st out of 31 Rush defense: 23rd out of 31 Pass offense: 31st out of 31 Rush offense: 13th out of 31
  7. we know a lot more now than we did then. Thanks to the internet. I really thought week to week under Seifert we were going to win. Even weeks after we lost by multiple scores in a blowout. If we had the internet and what it is today.... we would have hated Seifert even more. We were one of the worst teams all aorund statistically under seifert his final year. We were the worst rushing defense in the league, 3rd to worst passing defense in the league, 5th worst passing team in the league and 3rd worse rushing team in the league. 2001 we were really bad all around.
  8. If coaches like Brian Kelly can keep getting paid top dollar, then Rhule can too. Half of the time its not the coaching they do on gameday, its the talent they lure in. College football is different because there is a such a huge talent gap. Kelly isnt a great gameday coach but he has the ability of bringin talent into programs.
  9. We really dont have much under contract at those postions. So at this point a reset happens regardless if a coach comes in and does it or not. We have 1 qb under contract next year, as you pointed out. Shaq, Luvu, DW and the rookies are the only LBers under contract. Shaq is pretty much gone bc of the cap savings. Luvu and DW are on extremely cheap contracts. I dont see why we would reset our WR room. It's not like its a void of talent, its just missing a true #1. The rest can stay (Robbie is gone, this shouldnt need to be said). TE room is a cuttable contract away from just being Tremble. RB room is CMC. I dont think there will be pieces we need to kick out. These positions are goin to need to be filled regardless of what happens from here and to the offseason.
  10. its honestly the best move, unless a team is willing to eat some of the financials. However, that would impact the compensation. Right now, CMC is not the issue with our team.
  11. even that we would save more money by cutting him post 6/1. So if wanted to save money (12m) then we would just cut him 6/1. I dont know if trading a player bc he might get hurt and we will take 26 million in dead cap in return is the best way to run a franchise.
  12. we got worst each season with Seifert too. We regressed massively once he took over. Just like that 1-15 season, Rhule had lost many games within a single score here as well. They basically have the exact same story. Except Seifert was a cocky son of a bitch and he wanted people to know.
  13. i mean if we can get a first, by all means. I jsut dont see how we can afford the deal. Trading him creates 26million in dead cap for us over the next two seasons. I dont know if that is worth it.
  14. Dude, why are you after my opinion like that? I shared why Seifert was the worst coach in Panthers history from my point of view. I had emotional attachment to the entirety of his tenure. Just bc you and I have different perspectives about shitty coaches doesnt mean anyone is "simping." Whatever that means.
  15. Are these accounts worth noting/following? Never heard of either one of them.
  16. he will probaby be a backup somewhere. I think thats the ceiling for him.
  17. The only way I change my stance on this is if two years after the Rhule regimen we have a completely different roster and still not competitive. The only thing Seifert has going for him in my eyes is the draft he had in 2001.
  18. We arent going to get anythign of worth trading CMC right now. It isnt worth the long term cap issue it creates. In all honesty, at most we would get a 3rd for CMC right now due to the cost. Trading him now or in the offseason really makes no difference.
  19. Seifert chose to replace him with Jeff Lewis. Seifert traded a 3rd and a 4th for Lewis. Seifert was making Rhule type of decision while Rhule was in college.
  20. dude what is wrong with you? lol. Our conversation ended, lets move on.
  21. HIgh ankle sprain is likely 4-6 weeks. We should cover that threshold.
  22. Yeah, most of our money is spread across 4 players for the forseeable future. 2 of those players can be cut this offseason and it would save us money. Ideally, we would like to trade them because it would save us more. If you take a team like the Rams however, they have 7 players that take up at least 15million in cap next year at a total of 140 million. If Stafford were to tear his ACL this weekend (god forbid he does), then the Rams would need to begin to shop players like Allen Robinson, Leonard Floyd, and Bobby Wagner bc they are cheaper for teams to acquire now then they will be later. Their contracts boom next two seasons. So the Rams would be sitting on a ticking time bomb without an answer at QB for the forseeable future.
