  1. Havve to do the brunch thing today with the wife and friends. Gonna miss this one. I expect a loss.
  2. for me right now the only tradeable is Shaq. If Burns were to go... it would have to be multiple firsts and a mid to late mid pick. Its just too much production to give up at one of the most valuable positions in the game.
  3. trading him before June 1 wouldnt be ideal for dead cap and salary cap reasons. I get there would be interest, but if we hold onto him we actually would be in a better position of moving him off the roster at a later point, unless the offer is above expectations.
  4. Can you share these? Ive looked at a lot of his highlights and im seeing him just hitting wide open targets. I did a light write up in one of these threads comaring Stroud, Young and Levis in arm talent... Stroud's WR average almost 3.5 yards of seperation... thats insane....
  5. we should add Donte Jackson and Taylor Moton to that list.
  6. him sharing that reminded me why I was avoiding him on this forum. I honestly forgot how much of a toxic "elite" he can be.
  7. okay now i realize is going to be endless with you. It's apparent you don't understand the financial strategies of this business. Which is one of my favorite parts. If you think that was your cap knowledge than you are mistaken. That conversation was an endless circle jerk where you wouldnt drop the fact that teams make financials decisions with short term impact. It had nothing to do with your knowledge on how the salary cap works. As you are showing now.... you are spending a lot of time to make zero progress with any point. The decision with Robbie's contract played out exactly how I called it out in that conversation. we could get rid of him and still recoup a large portion of money. Maybe I was right when I said it is endless with you...
  8. lol. This is an example of false information. Ive never talked about your salary cap knowledge in a negative light. I respect your cap knowledge. There are multiple threads ive pulled you and @stbugs in for cap advice. Dont make this poo personal. This is a football message board.
  9. i dont think there was much else to say other than "groovy" which was reprsented by that gif. Here is anothe one:
  10. 18 million* I should have proofed my last mesasage before replying. My numbers were pulled directly from spotrac. Refute it all you want.. its just a waste of energy at this point. I made my claim. We have 8 months until we know how it lands.
  11. you are right. I should have clicked this link before I ran with it..... It was a bogus article.
  12. This all changes with a top pick and a new HC. Players go to teams with good coaches. So until we know who the new HC will be this is all empty conjecture. But going back to the original point of our conversation, the Panthers are not in a bad salary cap situation.
  13. what about the 28 million increase to the salary cap? We went in to this last offseason with 34 million dollars and came out with excellent FA acquisitions. The bottom line is this entire conversation is speculation. If we draft a qb with our top pick, we are going to spend now to build around them. It's the only formula that this franchse hasnt tried this decade. Its going to happen. The NFC south next year is going to be drained of talent... so we will have a head start on the rest.
  14. CMC played wtih Cam, Olsen, DJ, and Jonathan Stewart.
  15. You are excluding the fact that the salary ceiling is expected to go up 28 milllion in 2023.
  16. i think he was drafted in the 6th round but yeah
  17. It would be 39 million in dead cap if we are including the 13 million we would get from offloading Shaq. I dont see how we would get to 50 million in dead cap. Let's say we get 10 million from Burns... Moton 10 million and 14.5 million from DJ.... Thats 35 million from restructuring at our current clip of -3 million. This is before the cap ceiling is raised. You also have Elf's contract which would give us 4.75million at 2.9 dead cap. So that would be 41.9 million in dead cap and 39.5 million in available cap BEFORE the cap ceiling raises. With 9 picks in the draft and 35 players under contract. All of the above with a rookie QB (most likely) and 115 million the next season..... This is an ideal situation for the franchise at this transition point.
  18. Id take Austin Ekeler over CMC if we are going to do year by year comparison and availability. Austin Ekeler is an elite back in this league. He is a dual threat just as much as CMC but has found ways to get into the endzone more than CMC at 200 less touches.
