What @Davidson Deac IIis sharing is pretty significant. I get that Fields can run, and he is elite when it comes to it... but what he is lacking is the most important thing that someone in his position needs. Fields is not a good passer right now. Yes, he would be elite if he could improve in passing.... but right now.. he is horrid when it comes to passing the football and bc he can run so well.... does not mean he should get a free pass.

but the Bears making the trade is the head scratcher

My 3 buddies shared their view of the trade was that the bears over paid for Claypool. Mainly bc Claypool was a 2nd round pick and the Bears paid a 2nd round pick for him and now he is about to command big money. They mainly preferrred that the Bears kept the pick bc there is no need to be trading any picks right now. and All good.

Over his career he ran about 5-6 times per game... in that era of football that was a running QB. You can't compare him to today's football. Especially if you didnt grow up watching that era of football due to the context.

only posting this because it cant be ignored. I was golfing with my bears buddies today... they are just as flat as us... they hated the claypool trade (i actually liked it) and want to shop Fields in the offseason because they believe his stock wont get an higher.

The only argument that can be made is that he has been a damn good backup QB for PJ. I wont steal Baker's thunder here, but a lot of the practice reports and media reports have called out Darnold for being super helpful to the QBs around him. That's valueable if you have two young QBs on the roster..... MC9 and whoever we draft.

I wasn’t even talking about Levi’s…. I’m taking about the 40 sacks they have given up in 10 games… and the two back to back sacks with a 3 man front.

The Panther ran roughshod over the Falcons for 232 yards and two scores in an ugly Thursday night victory. Walker has been mostly terrible as Carolina's starter this season but remains an upgrade over Baker Mayfield, the NFL's worst quarterback, according to EPA. Walker should only be rostered in deeper superflex leagues.
