So which QB do we think will be available at #9?
TheCasillas replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
Neither has Fields.... we would be saying this exact same thing if Fields was on our roster.... Fields wasnt a freak injury like Horn's injury. Fields has been injured bc he isnt built for the type of football he is trying to play. My god this message board would be eating fields alive right now if he had thrown for less than 1200 yards in his second season and never played a full season. Which is what has happened in Chicago this year. -
Wilks' Post-Game Locker Room talk vs. Saints
TheCasillas replied to Icege's topic in Carolina Panthers
Then my statement as precise as i attempted to position. I was leaning into I wonder if Wilks could have won more if he had started the season as HC. That's as far as I wanted to go down the path of "What if" -
Wilks' Post-Game Locker Room talk vs. Saints
TheCasillas replied to Icege's topic in Carolina Panthers
These are all great stats but they are missing one key piece to why TMJ hasnt had a chance to do more.... he was stuck behind Rhule's negligance of developing young players and getting them on the field. All of TMJ's rookie year we were forcing him to play slot... he isn't a slot reciver. Yes, he played slot many times at LSU but that is far different at the NFL level. TMJ's real opportunities to play didnt happen until after Robbie Anderson left. I am not going to hold that aginst this guy, when he made NFL capable catches over NFL starting corners week to week during our 4-2 span. I dont understand why you are using the language Saints went into prevent mode on the last drive and left him wide open for his second catch. We were in max protect on that play and the saints brought a disguised blitz. They had a single safety high (honey badger) that shaded DJ Moore's side and TMJ beat his man who had outside leverage (Lattimore) on his in route. Loose statements like that make it hard to have a conversation with you, bc im not sure how much you are speaking from knowledge (which normally you do) and how much you are making up... like the above example. I enjoy our debates but this one doesn't have much foundation outside speculation and loose projections. It makes debates difficult on here bc it introduces doubt in statements of certainty. -
4 of those names were never a coordinator for more than one year. One of them was never a coordinator at the NFL level. I am not trying to correct you, but just sharing relevant information based on your comment.

This is not the time to go on the defense tirade for Fields. He is an elite runner but he cant stay healthy, nor throw and protect the football.- 242 replies

It's very hard to say who will be where until after combine and interviews. Right now its an endless treadmill of speculation. -
Wilks' Post-Game Locker Room talk vs. Saints
TheCasillas replied to Icege's topic in Carolina Panthers
We are comparing two different worlds of hypotheticals... I used "could" for a reason. Meaning chance. I did not say "would." I understand where you are coming from...but its not really worth either one of us to spend time debating. Unless we are living in the block universe, and if that is the case.... then pull up a chair bc we will be here for awhile. -

Side note: TMJ starting to turn into a Man. Damn he has gotten big since we drafted him. breakout candidate. -
Bc they wanted a tank commander. Texans did it right. fugedup but they wanted to be the worst franchise in football. they took the nba strategy this year

Hats off to wilks going 6-6 as interim head coach. I do wonder if he started sooner if we have a winning record. Funny how Eddie sealed the season with a game winning kick, and could have sealed a playoff birth if he did it in Atlanta too -
If you want to get the #1 pick from the Bears, what's your move?
TheCasillas replied to EgoDogg's topic in Carolina Panthers
I wouldn’t want number 1 in this draft. 3 or 4 maybe…. But 1 is overkill. -
Pretty sure it was reported that Fangio is going to be on Payton’s staff
-
McDermott Odonnell Mcdaniels Shannahan Sirianni Taylor Staley Daboll these are all HCs who are in the playoffs this year and are first time head coaches for their respective franchise. It’s possible I missed someone else as well. mcVay also another head coach with no prior head coach experience. It’s just not a rubric for success anymore.

If Tepper wants a hot shot offensive guru… then Ben Johnson is the guy. What he game planned in the 2nd half tonight for the Lions was brilliant. i want.

That wasnt double coverage. It was a center high safety with Mathaeu playing mid zone. It was a ball that was underthrown and impacted by the pass rush. Nothing more to it. -

I have no audio did they just share whats up with Corbett and Brady? -
Byron Leftwich hype has peaked. He had his moments but like most TB12 coaches , those moments were gone in a blink of an eye. BL may be a QB coach elsewhere, possibly a 2nd chance OC but he just isn’t a HC. The only way I can see BL getting a HC is a bridge job like Smith with the Texans. also, Im pretty sure O’Brien is going to end up with Bill B this off-season. They are really close and NE needs an OC bad.

No Jim Harbaugh - Carolina focusing attention elsewhere

I am happy to hear this news. I am just not a fan of harbaugh as a HC. Something just isn’t right with the guy.- 114 replies

Most Efficient Passing Game in the past 6 Weeks
TheCasillas replied to Ghostface Chilla's topic in Carolina Panthers
it is the bandwagon fans when we had Cam and the other superstars. They dont know anything about the 2000s panthers. Delhomme was Favre lite... and he was often compared to Brett Favre throughout his career. Nothing about Delhomme was a game manager. -
you dont want ... correction WE dont want Gamble. Gamble was the hot name when we hired Gettleman... pretty sure he was a finalist for the role with Ed Dodds iiirc. Gamble finally got his chance with Chip Kelly and destroyed the Eagles draft picks and roster. Then Gamble continued to bounce around the league getting fired every other year. The guy rode Harbaugh's coat tails... I was a HUGE fan of Gamble before we elected to not hire him, and watching him fail franchise to franchise... well sometimes you got to call a spade a spade.

it's a single person's wild card scenario theory. I doubt that comes to life.
